I'm sure you have all looked at pictures of your parents wearing terribly dated fashion and hair styles. Whether they are like mine and sported cheesy "60s hippy style with bell bottoms and sideburns, wearing polyester leisure suites of the seventies, or horrible acid washed jeans and perms of the '80s. What trends that we are wearing today are going to become "dated" looking? What pictures of you and your current style are your kids going to laugh at?
You guys all had really great answers (although i can't beleive no one mentioned super low rise jeans with a thong sticking out the top ;) ) I cant decide who to pick for best answer so why don't you guys vote on it!

How do you show your personality through fashion, hair, makeup, tattoos, piercings, or any other modifications and expressions? How does it effect the way others perceive and treat you?

Fashion is the perfect way to exhibit your personality and mood as well as being a good way to express yourself. If your personality is dramatic or if you simply like attention then it would be wise to wear loud colors such as a lush red or a rich orange. If you don't want try a softer approach then pastels and neutral colors. As for the style, this could be tough because there are so any different kinds. For example, An east coast understated preppy appearance helps make you look more professional and focused while a drastic attire like "scene" kids or "emo" kinds gives others the feeling that you are rather unkempt and uncaring towards not only others opinions but also your work. I recommend you do some research on what suits you. Try going to the site below to learn more.

For example, curls or doing something extra to your hair shows how much effort you put into your appearance yet an over the top hairdo could cause others to take you less seriously. Letting your hair down might be considered dull, but it creates a simple, sometimes smart, look.

It also creates a very professional sense and others look at me as someone who is bound and focused on the future. I have always had this look and I don't think that I would change it. I don't have any tattoos, piercings, or anything else, however, I do complete the outfits with a messenger bag from either Lacoste, Gucci, or Louis Vuitton.
