I want to change my hairstyle according to what would match my face shape but I'm not sure what the shape is....can someone help me?

I think it's diamond shaped but I'm not positive.

Here's a picture:

Thank you so much!

Answer
It seems to me that it looks more of an oval shape. Which is a good thing.

What can I use to measure inches, without a ruler?

Ari-kun

I've had the same haircut for years, and I'm getting ready for change.
I was wondering what kind of face shape I have, based on measurements.
Sooo, I need something I can relate to in inches to figure out what kind of hairstyles would look best on me according to my facial features.

Answer
Do you have a 3x5 note card handy?
You can fold it diagonally so the short side is against the long side. Then cut off the 2x5 edge that is left. Fold the 2x5 in half so you have two 1x5 sections. Now you have a 1" edge, and you can use it to mark a string or a piece of paper with inches.

Easier, since you obviously have access to the internet, and probably have access to a printer:
Print this page.

My skin tone is Ivory. I have thick dark brown curly hair. What color could I doe my hair that would best accentuate my pail undertones?

Answer
Dark brown curvy hair on ivory skin. Sound like a picture in a frame. Don't change it.

What color hair and type of hair will my child have?

Andrea

I have brown hair not too dark, but like an auburn color and it's very straight. Both my parents have brown hair and straight hair. My husband has very blond hair and curly hair but they're not tight curls nor waves. Both his parents have curly hair but his dad has light brown and his mom has strawberry blond hair. So what type and hair color will my baby have? Also, what are your favorite baby names for a girl or boy?

Answer
Well blonde isnt really dominant but your hair isnt too dark. So theres a big chance the hair will be blonde, maybe dirty blonde/mixed blonde. For curls, most likely, yes. maybe Tom?or Tommy? hope i helped.

I LOVE playing with make up! But to me, it seems, no matter what I do my eyes never pop. I have blue/grey eyes with hints of hazel and green. I have small almond eyes so it's hard to tell. What colors and eye shadow application techniques can I try for a wow factor? I also have dark brown hair and light-medium skin tone.

Answer
Youtube has a lot of tutorials use search term ( makeup for blue eyes ) ( almond eyes) and also if you're asian and have monolids Type ( makeup monolids) makeup for monolids requires a few tricks and watching makeup artists show you on video is much easier than explaining. My favorite youtube makeup channels are

gossmakeupartist

emilynoel83

MissChievous

vintageortacky

Between these channels you will learn every pro tip you ever wanted to know about makeup. I have spent hundreds of hours combing the web and there are lots of great channels and vids but these 4 taught me the most valuable advice that I use daily.

You have very unique requirements and I do not think one size fits all recommendations will work.
For me a smoky eye looks terrible so I stick with very light natural looks and focus on my eyebrows and eyelashes for the wow factor.

Physicians formulas make a strip style eyeshadow palette specifically for blue eyes but it is a shimmery type eyeshadow. Shimmery eyeshadows only look good on very young skin so under 25.
Also make sure and this is critical to use an eyeshadow primer otherwise no eyeshadow will pop
ELF makes the best one in the economy range, NYX is good and Too faced shadow insurance.

Then apply a base on top of that Revlon cream shadows palette in ( not just nudes) has 4 base colors you can use these alone. If you prefer high end most make up artists prefer Mac Painterly paint pots which you will need to make sure you match you're skin tone or go a bit lighter .

Any eyeshadow will pop better if you use these two things first

E.L.F makes a $3 (mist and set) spray that you can lightly mist on yours eyes and face I like it and most swear by it Mac again makes a high end version of this too. just hold it at a distance when misting.

E.L.F is awesome especially there studio line products everything is $1-3 so you really can't go too wrong there. There are hundreds of videos where people talk about there ( top ELF products or favorite Elf products)
Its better to order online if you can and subscribe because they more stuff and always have super sales and free shipping days.

My favorite all time beauty purchases are

Anastasia Eyebrow kit from Sephora (I am now a brow pro and save a ton of $$$)
make sure to get the stencils and learn to use them properly
on Anastasia's youtube channel. she has the best tweezers and brow
powder there is. I really like the brow powder using it wet its stays on
better and is good for thin brows.

Bare escentuals mineral veil ( gives flawless finish, sets cream eye-shadows and cream foundations)

or for a bargain try

Sally Beauty supply- Palladio Natural Rice Powder $5

e.l.f. flat top Powder brush- best mineral and powder brush in budget range

e.l.f. Essential Eyelid Primer ( nude)

e.l.f. Studio Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

e.l.f. Studio Bronzers- (cool)

e.l.f. Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine- strawberry $1 awesome over lip-stains or just as is

e.l.f. Essential Eye Shadow Brush- amazing quality

Monistat chafing relief powder gel - used as foundation primer check out the reviews on youtbe
and Amazon and you'll see I'm not crazy even makeup artists
agree its safe for the face and a great primer at a 1/4 of the cost

minimizes pores, wrinkles, oily skin and gives a flawless look

Maybeline dream matte mouse- great drugstore foundation for oily skin medium coverage

Equate Microdermabrasion Exfoliating cleansing wipes with green tea and vitamin E
120 for $6 ( best eye and face makeup remover hands down)
they are soft and not irritating to the eyes at all and even better
than Olay. Look next to the Olay cloths at Walmart and you'll see them
or order them online. you can see the rave reviews on the Walmart site.

Loreal Telescpoic mascara- I now like this better than Lancome. I admit I did not like it at first
but I soon realized how awesome it is after I learned to use it properly.
It defines and elongates lashes but its not a volume boosting type.

Sally Beuty supply - Mini Lip Gloss Wand for $1 super high quality

How long should I wait to recolor my hair?

So I used a cheap hair color that was ammonia free. It was awesome for a few days... purplish brownish red. Now its just orange red and I hate it. I got a better brand to cover it up with. How long should I wait to recolor? If it has been a coupe weeks is that long enough or will I kill my hair?

Answer
You should wait 6-8 weeks. If noot, you wil badly damage your hair. But if you think your hairs strong enough to like have all of those chemicals in your hair in a shortt tiime, then wait atleesed 3 weeks.

Answer
a perm can do that, curlying iron or a straightener can do that, thats not called a scrunch tho cuz thats more of curls than scrunching

"Get highlights in your hair, done by a professional hairdresser. Shakira's hair color went from beach blonde with black highlights, to all over auburn, so choose which one you like. If your skin isn't as light as Shakira's, try reversing black or dark brown hair with blonde highlights.Try perming your hair to get that big curly look she has going on or you could braid damp hair, leave it over night and...Viola perfect Shakira hair but make sure to put hairspray so it doesn't flatten out during the day. Try Pantene Pro-V Restoratives;Anti Humidity Hairspray."

How to get ombre or dip-dye on very dark relaxed hair?

Tiffany

Hi. I already asked a question about this but I forgot a couple details. Okay..

History of my hair-
When I was younger I always wore my hair natural. I am African-American and partially Native-American so my hair (in it's natural state) is coarse and SUPER THICK. My hair color is black with natural red undertones. My mom managed my hair for me and kept it pretty healthy and wanted to keep my hair natural for as long as possible. Then my mom decided it was time for me to start getting my hair relaxed. I first got it relaxed a little bit after I turned 12. I've been getting it relaxed about every 10 weeks since then. Also, I've never dyed my hair, never used any bleach or peroxide. Nope, nothing. I have went to get bangs cut a couple of times and the person who relaxes my hair cuts off the split ends of my hair every once in awhile.

Now: I'm almost 15 and my hair is slightly past shoulder-length. Right now, I'm trying to grow my hair a little longer. I use a shampoo & conditioner that does not use parabens, silicones, sulfates, alcohol, blah blah blah and it's mineral and plant based. I wash my hair once a week ( I wait 2 weeks after I relax it) and I deep condition my hair and I oil it. And I use this product chi silk infusion which I LOVE. I like my natural hair color. When I part my hair, sometimes you can see the lighter parts of my hair. Now, since I like my natural hair color for the most part and don't want to go through the trouble of my roots or anything, I only want to dye the tips of my hair. I honestly don't care if the ends of my hair turn out super bright or if they're just tinted a different color. I just want it to look a little different. Now here's what I want and don't want.

1. I don't want to have to use bleach or anything that will cause bad damage/breakage to my hair or leave it dry.
2. The dye or whatever has to be safe to use on my hair and I would prefer it to be a natural product.
3. If you EXTREMELY suggest I just leave my hair alone, please tell me.

Also, I'm going to wait until my hair is at the desired length before I do anything. Plus I am looking for great haircare tips and products in general :) Thank you!

Answer
First of all, heat & chemicals are hair's worst enemies. The relaxers on your head, already contains formaldehyde causing cancer. If they're dye, they're all chemicals, even Henna which is supposed to be better for you than reg. box dye. It's a good read! Google: Henna for Hair Warnings.

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that look ombre hair color â darker roots, lighter ends â but colorists sees that fading. Women are wanting dimensional color with natural highlights that look like they've been playing out in the sun. On Fashion Police 1-29-13 episode, Khloe Kardashian said: "I had that in 2011!"

"Ombre is the number one poorly done color in this country! It takes a lot of blending and finesse to look natural. The key is to highlight the whole head, then deepen just the roots. Unfortunately, a lot of the ombre I see today is bad - I'm ready for that to be retired! Dye should make hair look expensive and chic. Otherwise, what's the point?" ~ Harry Josh, Hollywood's top hairstylist, who have given Gisele ombre color for 13 years.

They DO SELL OMBRE kits. They also sell hair extensions that you can clip on, comes in various colors, 2/$5 @ Claire's and take them out when you get home. They're fun, funky & safe!

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <

Your hair is the most fragile of all hair types. They snap & break easily. So you need more TLCs than thin hair. No chemicals. No relaxers specially! No heating styling tools. Finger comb is best or use a wide tooth comb. Do what Oprah & Michelle Obama have been, going natural, using plastic curlers to set their hair. Use oil or conditioner to keep them moisturized. Heat & chemicals are your hair's worst enemies.

The hair of many black women is very fragile and studies have demonstrated that normal brushing and combing the hair can result in breakage. Brushing your hair 100-times a day is a no-no for your hair. Only comb and brush your hair to style it. Also avoid rubber bands or other implements that can physically cut into and break the hair shaft.

Google: Rhonda Lee. Copied & pasted from her getting fired @ the KTBS station.
"I am very proud of my African-American ancestry which includes my hair. For your edification: traditionally our hair doesn't grow downward. It grows upward."
"Many Black women use strong straightening agents in order to achieve a more European grade of hair and that is their choice. However in my case I don't find it necessary."
"I'm very proud of who I am and the standard of beauty I display. As women we come in all shapes, sizes, nationalities, and levels of beauty."
"Showing little girls that being comfortable in the skin and HAIR God gave me is my contribution to society," the TV personality concluded.
Watch: Good Hair - Documentary by Chris Rock 2009. or Tyra Banks What is Good Hair. Black women spend 80% of all hair products. She's got good advice!
Michael âRahniâ Flowers, who served as Obamaâs hairstylist in Chicago for more than 20 years, knows full well the importance great hair plays in a womanâs lifeâand so does Michelle, he says. âSheâs always taken very good care of her hair,â Flowers explains. âHaving beautiful hair is such a sign of health and attractiveness, particularly for black women, because their hair tends to be very fragile, and it needs extra care. Having it look good at all times is an amazing feat in itself. âSheâs never been the kind of woman that obsessed over hair and makeup too much.â

So Walter Meego is playing at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, and they're my favorite duo in the world and I have to see them. But the problem is that its an 18+ show and I'm not 18 yet! But I'm dieing to see them.

So...if anyone has any club sneaking in suggestions or has been to the Middle East Club in Cambridge/Boston and wants to give me some tips, I would love you forever!

Answer
Find someone who looks like you who is over 18 and borrow their ID. It doesn't have to be perfect, just same hair color and similar facial structure.

Wait am I allowed to abet a minor?

Don't do the young girl puts on tons of makeup to look older thing either. That's a dead giveaway that you're underage.

What the best treatment for african american hair (to restore it and keep the hair strong)?

best hair color product for natural african american hair
on AMY AMY - Favorite Hair Products for Natural African American Hair
best hair color product for natural african american hair image

karamelswt

My hair is very weak and i need something to make it stronger. Whats the best shampoo and conditioner? I used to use Paul Mitchell. Is that fine? I would also like a moisturize that will help my hair to grow longer and faster... any recommendations?

Answer
Paul Mitchell is actually a good choice; however, it is not all natural and as a stylist, I have found that natural products work better on african american hair. Why? Because black hair needs a lot of moisture to stay strong and grow, it does not produce natural oils like many other hair types. Any hair care products packed with natural oils will make your hair thrive. The best all natural products, that also make African American hair grow fast are Beauty 4 Ashes A Double Portion hair growth products. They have great oils like shea, jojoba, sunflower, avocado, and emu. I would also recommend Carol's daughter's hair milk.

Also, do the following things:
1) Limit heat styling to once a week
2) Limit hair coloring
3) Try to relax no more than every 6-8 weeks
4) Do not trim your hair unless it is ravaged...get rid of your cut happy stylist. Dominican stylists are supportive of growing african american hair
5)Eat lean protein, such as soy, fish, turkey, egg whites, and chicken
6) Take a B Complex Vitamin

What is a really good hair care product for African American, color treated hair?

Ivonna T

I am in the market for a new hair care product. I stopped using Pantene Pro V and Olive Oil Root Stimulator because I started color treating my hair and didn't feel they were the best products to use with my hair type. I recently starting using Motions Marula Formula and am not impressed. I just want something to promote hair growth, shine, and health.

Answer
Well, you could try using natural based products and see how they perform on your hair. Mineral Indulgence has natural products for relaxed hair and they helped with my daughter's relaxed hair. I purchase the Relaxed Hair Regimen as it's cheaper than buying the products individually. Plus you get a free scalp butter for hair growth if you get the regimen.

I have very straight black hair. I want to grow my hair out a little bit - what are good hair styles for that? Examples? I don't want any "emo" hair, just normal stuff.

Answer
Justine Beiber hair. That's been around since the 60's, my exBF started that since the 70's. It is simple, shows how silky, shiny, soft & smooth your hair is.

My OS cuts his own hair, it's thick & straight, so he cuts them very short. So does my YS, his is short & curly, but he keeps his short too and cuts his own now.

They both used to gel & spiked theirs, but staying away from hair products now.

Flying But

I have kind of a shaggy/asymmetrical shoulder-length hairdo right now, but I'd really like a razor-cut in a slightly shorter length. Would that work out okay? Also, what sort of bangs look best with square shaped faces?

If it helps, I have dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and I wear thick rimmed glasses.

Answer
Honestly, I would get a pixie cut for now and then let it grow out. Also, because some people dislike thick glasses, I reccomend getting contact lenses. With the new hairstyle, you would look very feminine! Or you could get it layered and choppy looking.

what hairstyles are best for square shaped faces?

Dana Panga

School is gonna come up and im wondering what hairstyles are best for square shaped faces? should i have side bangs or no side bangs? i want it to be medium length. please help?

Answer
Try:
Short-to-medium length hair, especially with wave or roundness around the face. Wispy bangs will soften the angular shape. Off-center parts with height at the crown look great on square faces. You want to soften the square look of your face with layers and wispy looks around the face. Height at the crown will elongate your symmetrical shape. If your hair is straight, you may want to consider a body wave, as some curl or wave to the hair will achieve a nice balance to the straight features of your face shape.

Avoid:
Long straight styles that accentuate the square jawbone. "Linear" straight bangs or center parts aren't the best choice. A straight bob ending at the jaw line is the wrong thing to do for your face shape. You can wear a layered bob, however it should end above or below the jaw line, not at the jaw. Make sure in styling that you achieve some roundness to the shape and some height at the crown or bangs, and you will be on the right track.

Would a blonde cosplay wig look tacky with black eyebrows?

I have well groomed, but black, eyebrows. I am planning to cosplay as Misa Amane soon. This would require a blonde wig since my natural hair color is jet black and I don't want to bleach it. I have experience with wigs and I know where to get good ones that look real for lowish prices, but I don't know how a blonde wig would look with black eyebrows.

there are many factors which could affect you appearence, besides the eyebrows, you also need to consider your skin colour. i think you can try white, brown. i advice you to download a little sofware, photoshop. then you can put you own picture on it , and you can change you hair colour. In this way, you can really compare them by yourself with different colour. At last, you just choose favourate and suitable wig colour.

what are the current trends in clothes shops?

trendy hairstyle for 2013 image

lucy

I have a job interview in a clothes shop and was wondering what current fashion trends are.

Answer
I don't follow women's fashion but I can provide the guys' trends for fall 2012 through summer 2013, or at least how they're predicted to be. This is according to major runway shows in Europe, so trends in American stores or unique shops will vary.

Some general trends: Slim pants/jeans (sometimes skinny), rolled up once or twice, JACKETS, hairstyles that are short on the sides/back and styled on top, accessories like watches and bracelets always make you look more stylish

Fall 2012 has some very light blues and oranges leftover from summer 2012 but they're only thrown in. Mainly, it's getting darker with blacks and grays, occasionally an obscure white or yellow dominated outfit. "A play on fabric" as Armani calls it is trendy, mixing different patterns and fabrics that you wouldn't normally match, as long as they go together in color. Outfits should stay simple and sleek though.

Winter 2012-13 is best described as "dark" and sometimes "tribal" with almost all black, brown and gray on jackets, pants and shoes/belts. Fabric play still revealant: For example, charcoal sweater with leather jacket throw-over.

Spring/summer 2013 should be sleek and include Mediterranean colors not only in just clothes but especially accessories. Like turquoise belts/shoes, bags and shirt accents. "Easter" colors is a good way to put it also. The base colors are blue and green.

How do you completely bleach your hair at hair dresser?

best hair color reviews 2013 image

Alex

This might be an odd question! My hair is naturally strawberry blonde, I went to my previous hair stylist and she got my hair a good blonde. I then decided to go brunette. During the last few years, my hair has became so damaged from heat and coloring. I've changed hair stylist to help get my hair back to healthy. I've since been using a lot less heat and my hair has been breaking less and getting longer. About a year ago I started trying to start my process to go bleach blonde. But of course in a healthier way. It however has NOT worked. I go back about every 2 months, and my hair always ends up with my natural orange tint. We are paying a lot of money for this blonde hair and I just want it to be light blonde already. My hair stylist has been putting heavy bleach highlights on. (she can't but the bleach on the full head yet) The last time I went we tried a toner. What can we possibly try that wont completely damage my hair?! Thanks for all your help!!!

Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or @ the salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Whats the best color of highlights to get when your natural hair color is brown?

Im getting highlights for my birthday and im not so sure of what color to get. My natural hair color is a light brown. What color of high lights should i get?

Answer
If you already have brunette hair and are looking for ways to save some hard earned, beauty-splurge cash, why not go back to your roots and go the natural route? Despite popular fears that brown hair is boring, there are plenty of spicy ways to add a timeless look to your already beautiful brunette hair.
* Enrich: Enrich your natural color with an allover shade a few shades richer. To add some contrast and interest, ask your stylist to weave in a few copper hair highlights.
* Deepen: Go chocolate! If youâre natural brown borders on moussey, richen it up with a decadent shade of chocolate brown, which will add instant drama with little investment.
* Shine: Shine or color glossing treatments adds sparkle and sheen to dark hair. A glossing treatment can be done in the salon for a bargain price and will instantly add some life to your locks.
* Vanilla and Chocolate: Want the best of both worlds? Brunettes can still play with blonde without a large commitment. Ask your stylist to add a few strategically placed blonde hair highlights around your face to brighten your look while keeping the rest of your color natural.
* Chunk: Although not as trendy as days gone past, statement chunking techniques on a dark base add instant pop and a low maintenance color choice for those seeking a dramatic and bold look. Experiment with shades of blue, blonde, or red chunks. Get creative!

What can I do about my employer's ban on unnatural hair color?

Eve

I've been working in an office environment for the past few years. Some of my male and female co-workers have dyed part of their hair in what my employer refers to as "unnatural" hair color: varying shades of green, pink and lavender.

My employer has now issued a ban on unnatural hair colors for all employees, giving all employees one week to comply or face immediate job termination. What can I do about my employer's ban on unnatural hair color?

Answer
Your boss is running a business, and he's asking employees to have a businesslike appearance -- or at least avoid un-businesslike appearances. Your appearance is a billboard that says, "I'm a serious adult," or "I'm juvenile." If you were running the same business, which would you prefer? If you want to be in a business where you can have green hair, tattoos, piercings, etc., you need to work for a trendy boutique or something similar.

Forget the "constitutional right" argument. Anyone can be terminated for any reason. All they have to do is give you difficult assignments with short deadlines, and you can be fired for cause.

Where can I find beauty salons to dye my hair with Henna powder?

mimi

I need to find a beauty salon in U-district Area [Seattle WA] to dye my hair with Henna powder. Can anyone provide information?

Answer
u dont need to go to a salon, and waste money.

Just make tea dicoction, cool it and strain to get the clear dark brown water. Add the henna powder and make it like a batter enough consistency to make it stick to ur hair. U can wear gloves if u dont want ur hands to turn red, offcourse this color will go after few washing of hands.
Keep this past on for a couple of hours and then wash off with water.

How to get my natural colour back?

Q. I am natrually tanned but after the last few months it has been very cold and now i look white. Im not being racist but the colour white does not suit me with my dark hair and brown eyes, makes me look like i just put white powder all over my face. I dont want to use any tanning products as i dont have the money and i dont want to harm my skin. I am only 14 also. Any help please?

Answer
If you're only fourteen, don't sweat it. Once you get older, you'll begin to realize that pale skin is beautiful. I used to fake tan when I was fifteen because I live in Seattle, WA and it is very cloudy here about 70% of the time. But now I am nearly 22 and I am starting to be very proud of my white skin, and you should be too. I think dark features on white is absolutely gorgeous and nothing to be ashamed of. It is very natural and model-like to keep your body as natural as possible.

How to control frizzy/poofy/curly hair?

fashion men hairstyle 2011
 on mens hairstyles
fashion men hairstyle 2011 image

Luna Berry

Hi, I have horrible thick hair that is hard to control. What is the best way to tame it? :(

Answer
Heat & chemicals are hair's worst enemies. If you want curly hair, (or straight hair to tame your curly hair) look @ videos or hairstyles of women in the late 40's or 50's, and see how healthy & silky their curly hair was. Have you seen Miracle on 34th Street? Many women then wore hats, and pin-curled or plastic curlers curled HAIRSTYLES. The men too, have very shiny hair like the women . . .that was before Bumble & Bumble's production 70's, John Frieda's production 1988 or the invention of heating tools. Another way to find the secret to beautiful hair? Find someone with beautiful healthy curls or straight hair and ask him or her to share secrets, preferably someone who is 40-60 years older than YOU.

People slept with their curlers on, or sit in the beauty salon for 20 mins. under a helmet of hair dryer.

Curlers comes in small, medium, large curlers.
Small if you want tighter curls, shorter hair.
Medium: medium curls, medium length hair.
Large: longer hair, larger curls.

"smaller section of hair you use the tighter/bouncier the curl, and the longer bigger section you use the bigger the wave or loose the curl. "

Start your curlers, where you want the curls to begin.

You can also pin curls your hair, if they're short to medium. You can also braid your hair the night before, after they've been wash, all night and sleep with them, and take the braids out in the morning. Finger comb to style. Use scarf to keep them from the wind.

HEAT PROTECTION, does not protect hair 100%. Like using sunscreen, you still get sunburned. Same with hair. Hair products are not made of glue to fix, prevent, reverse hair from getting damaged or hair loss, they ARE A TRILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS, and the hair industry also do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss caused by heat & chemicals.
Your hair is envy from us stick straight haired girls! If you know how to care for your hair type, you won't have this problem. Melina Kanakaredes, Keri Russell are examples who has hair like yours and they've got beautiful wavy hair. Watch Deandre Brackensick on American Idol. Google them.
Shampoo. Condition. Towel dry, scrunch with gel like Samy, or hand lotion, blow-dry using a diffuser briefly, tousle the hair, finger comb, shake your head & you're good to go. Add a small dollop (size of a quarter) of gel to keep hair from frizzing. If you don't have a diffuser, use a blow heat dryer on low for 5 mins. Give it a final rinse with carbonated or sparkling water. Sparkling water reduces frizz because of its low pH level. This is a good treatment if you often let your curls air-dry because it will help to eliminate the frizz caused by humidity.
When you wake up, instead of shampooing again, keep a bottled water filled with water/conditioner and spray on your hair. Scrunch, finger comb and you're good to go! Google Haley Rinehart - American Idol she's got long beautiful curly hair! When my hair was permed in the 80's, my hair looked like hers. Look @ my hair now.

Wear a scarf on windy days to avoid frizz.

One method to make it look fuller, add body, tame the curls, bouncier, thicker, SEXIER, softer & shinier hair is to set your hair with plastic curlers (not Velcro) after you towel dry, you'll end up with uniform balance of curls. Blow dry briefly while curling them in curlers. Take them out, and finger comb to style. When you're finished, use your fingers to shake your hair allowing it to fall naturally into place. Used by the best hair color models, and the fashion industry, like Victoria Secret Fashion Show Dec. 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012, America's Next Top Models, EXPRESS, Toddlers & Tiaras, Dance Moms, Dancing with the Stars, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, even used on Oprah's hair . . . . and continued to be used today where salons care about pampering your hair. When you see hair on TV a hair color commercial, they're not done by curling or straightening tools. Hair that shines like that and feels like hair, not hay, has to be done by the best hair tools available w/out damaging to the hair. When you take the curlers out, finger comb to style or lightly brush. Tousle the hair up. or shake your hair. You can use large, medium or small curlers, that depends on the length of your hair. Think of JLo's hair, she was voted as the Sexiest Woman by People magazine and Glamour's Woman of the Year 2011.

To create Kate Middleton's curls: To create her curls, her stylist waits until it's "80 percent wet and then uses a good blow dryer with a concentrator nozzle and a real-bristle brush."
BTW: Kate's hair was voted the most iconic hairstyle of 2012!

OK, well, you hated all my suggestions. What male hairstyle do you like?

Hair Man

Boy, I must be blind. You guys hated all the styles I liked.

Please help me out! Post a link of a male hairstyle you love!

NOTE: No one say faux hawk, please. I can't believe those are still popular. I had one 7 years ago when they were actually cool. Now I'm in college and that style is not only out, but is not suitable for anyone over 14. Hahaha Thanks!

How to get ombre or dip-dye on very dark relaxed hair?

Is it necessary to put foils through your hair before dying it blonde?

tess

I have red hair and a pixie cut, and want to go platinum blonde. My hairdresser says to go that blonde it will take at least 2 more sessions before she will dye it fully. So that comes to 2 months with awful foils scattered through my hair! I understand that she needs to take my current hair colour down to dye it, but i thought the process would be much quicker these days.

NO.

You have short hair, so it's obvs gna b a quicker process. You DON'T need foils. You can do it yourself or go to another haircolorist. You don't have to wait 2 months. She just says that because it be more money for her and/or she's covering her ass (in case your hair falls out or something awful happens).

Here's what I would do:
Depending on how RED (vibrant red) your haircolor is, use a haircolor remover. Remove as much of the red as possible. Then, bleach your hair until it's at least yellow...but preferably keep bleaching until it's PALE yellow. Once you hit yellow or pale yellow, use a platinum hairdye -or- use a cool tone toner. Make sure you condition before and after you go platinum. Make sure you have a full-sized bottle of conditioner, a full-sized bottle of DEEP conditioner, a full-sized bottle of LEAVE-IN conditoner, a reconstructor (depending on your hair's health). Use the conditioner after you shampoo. Use the Deep conditioner weekly. Use the Leave-In conditioner before you blowdry or use hot hair tools. Try not to "tease" your hair as much after blonding it.

PS - I bet that blonde pixie look is gna look so cute/great!
