i need some easy styles for hair?

haiku10

my hair is super curly, and its a little below my shoulders. it's very hard to style. i would straiten it more often but its too thick, takes too long, and doesn't look right with face. my hair is beautiful when its wet but it wont stay like that all day even if i add tons of hair gel. so are there any easy, casual styles you would recommend? thanks!!!

Answer
I also have super curly hair! I used to straighten it, but it just got curlier as I got older and it got too difficult! Then I used a million different defrizzing products and left it curly, but that just took forever and made my hair feel heavy. But recently, I've found this really great product, that's super cheap too!

http://herbalessences.com/us/collections/tousle_me_softly/mousse.jsp

It's a mousse, but it's not like normal mousses. It doesn't make your hair crunchy, just keeps it curly and not frizzy all day, but still soft!

Here's What I do with it:
After I take a shower, I dry my hair with a blowdryer, for only about a minute, so it's still wet, but not dripping. Then I put some mousse in my hand, and rub it between my fingers until it's not all foamy anymore (I find if I do this my hair is noticeably softer afterwards), then I run the product through all of my hair, blowdry until completley dry, then done! And your hair will still feel light as a feather! :) Also, since you already have curly hair don't scrunch, your curls, trust me you won't need to! I like to blowdry my hair, because it gives me more volume, but of course, if you want to do that is your choice! :)

Also, this is only $3.27!!! It's awesome compared to all the $16-20 products I used to use! :D

Everyone's hair is different, but this works wonders for me, so I hope it will work for you too! Hope I helped and good luck! :)

What are different easy hair styles I could do?

La La

I have about shoulder length blonde hair, that is really hard to take care of. Everyone says I look better with long hair but when I keep it long I usually keep it in a pony tail or somehow tied back. I dont know what I could do with my hair to make it look cuter-as in how to tie it back or how to style it. Help!

Answer
a cute easy way is to curl your hair or for a wavy type of style you can braid you hair leave it in for about 8 hours then take them out dont really comb it because it will take the style out and another style is just leave it down if you have course hair you can flat iron it and leave it out and if you have a silky type hair it makes it easier to just comb brush and leave out i hope i helped best of luck with your hair

Good hairstyle for 17yr old guy with thin fine hair?

Matterz

Hello, my hair is starting to get longer than I like. For as long as i can remember I just buzz my hair around this point and let it grow out again. This time I'm wanting to actually do something with my hair but i have no idea what will look good or not. I have a high hairline and fine hair. Any suggestions? (pic is the most recent of me) Thanks for any advice!

Answer
Your hair looks more medium/thick in the photo than fine. Try a regular taper cut with around three inches on top. If you want to go shorter, go with an ivy league(long crew cut.) Shorter still, go for progressively shorter crew cuts.
regular taper cut:

ivy league(long crew cut):
http://h.imagehost.org/0168/Kid_with_a_Coke_Zero_Large.jpg
Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side, if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form a short pomp front, or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

flat top crew cut:

Basic short cuts:

http://www.yalealumnimagazine.com/issues/02_04/old_yale.html
Essential barbering knowledge:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Crew_cut#Clippers.2C_Blades_and_Guards
Grooming any of the short pomp(pompadour) styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber. If you need more photos of any of the styles discussed above let me know.
Good Luck!

What is the best hairstyle for fine limp straight hair?

ok....so im like 14 yrs old, and i was thinking of getting a long shag or medium shag. But I wasn't sure which one to get, because im not really sure what they both look like just by reading descriptions and I'm afraid to try because my hair is really really thin and straght (im a korean ^^).... as in really really REALLY thin >ã<
right now, i have side bangs, which im going to keep, and my longest bottom layer hair comes to about 1 inch under my armpits cuz i layered it a bit kinda long ago and it grew >~<
so my question is, what king of shag hairstyle should i get...? i dont wanna really get a emo looking hairstyle (does the long shag look like those? can u guys add pictures of long and medium shags if u can?) but i want layered so my bottom layer shows cuz i might wanna mink it ^^
oh....and btw, can u guys help me on what to tell my hair stylist cuz shes korean and i dont think she would know what im talking about if i just said i wanted a medium or long shag....thx~! XD
and i noticed that my jawline has started growing angular so my face kinda looks square now... :[ if that changes anything ^^
oopsies~ one more thing... u guys can tell my different hairstyles other than shag too ^^

Answer
Don't get a shaggy haircut! It looks good if you have thicker hair with more volume. It's easier to take care of but your hair ends up looking more thinner than it is. Trust me, I've been there, done that. Since your hair is thin, I'd suggest a really light layer, and cut your hair shorter to your shoulder. It'll give the illusion of heaving more thicker hair. Heavy layers looks good if you have really long hair and if you add a little wave to it using curling irons, straighteners, or digital perm.

=3, usually korean hairdressers cut off an inch more than what you want so I suggest you find a picture of what you want your hair to look like and bring it with you :)
If you have a more squareish face, don't get full on bangs (like a bowl cut) because it'll emphasize your face shape.
Good luck with your hair cut~

Haircuts for the over 50 crowd?

bored1

Does anybody know any websites that have PICTURES of haircuts for the over 50 crowd. There's lots of websites but no pictures that I can find other than 1 that showed all long hair. I have above the shoulder length, kind of curly/wavy/frizzy. Need help

Answer
Well, for one thing, stop thinking of yourself as part of the over 50 crowd! :) Age is a state of mind so try not to limit yourself to "over age 50" hairstyles. People in their 20's and 50's can look cute with the same haircut. I would suggest getting some hairstyle magazines. They have a clip and snip section with tons of styles. You can just cut the pictures out you like and take them to your salon. Good luck!

What is an appropiate hairstyle for a 55 yeal old woman?

Terrie

This 55 year old woman is single.

Answer
Whatever she likes and feels most confident in! The idea that only certain lengths or styles are appropriate for older women and everything else is wrong is fast becoming a thing of the past. 50 year olds have been rejecting traditions and assumptions about age and appropriateness all their lives and quite frankly, why should they stop now? Ten years ago they were the first 40 year-olds who rejected the term "middle aged" and refused to replace their jeans, long hair and sleeveless tops with polyester stretch pants, short hair and sleeved shirts. 20 years ago they refused to buy into the notion that once yo turn 30 the best years of fashion and beauty were over and it was time to discard the mascara and dress like a frump. And when they were in their teens and 20 they rejected the idea that certain things were women's work and went out and got careers that when they were kids were considered suitable for men only and paved the way for today's women to follow whatever dreams they have and tore down all the barriers for future generations of women. So don't tell her she needs to get her hair cut, that her color is wrong or anything else!

Salon hair color or drugstore brand?

Meg

I want to try out coloring my hair. I'm 16 years old, so I think in the next year or so I'll give it a shot.
I just want to know if there's a difference between salon coloring and drugstore (do it yourself) ?
I feel like I would be making my hair stylist mad or something if I just did it myself.

Answer
For the past year I have been coloring my own hair with the many choices from the drug store...sometimes I hit it right sometimes it is a disaster. However, with that being said I went to the salon for years spending $150 a pop and sometimes not really like the outcome. Yet salon products are not as harsh on your hair.

Since you are so you are so young - I would definitely go the salon!

Best Drugstore hair dye brand?

Melanie Ju

I'm thinking bout redoing my hair.
I've dyed my hair out of the box on my own before, and i was pretty happy with the results, but i think it had a reddish tint to it, which sometimes bothered me.
So whats the best brand, that comes true to color, that doesnt cost too much?

Answer
I love Loreal Excellence. The colors come out so beautiful and your hair comes out so shiny. A box is around eight or nine dollars. That's the norm for hair color from a drug store.

Mobster hair color ideas?

Allison

Ok, so for Halloween i am being a 1920's mobster. (Not a sexy costume) and I like to use the temporary spray dye but I'm not sure what color I should use. PS. I have brown hair

Answer
The hair colors that seem to be associated with 1920s mobsters are brown, black, salt and pepper, white, and grey. Mostly brown and black. You look at photos of the famous gangsters and mobsters of the '20s and '30s and most of them are dark haired which means more brown or black hair. Blondes don't show up with dark hair in black and white photos and red heads are tough to call as the shade of red is more towards the very bright, tomato red or more towards a reddish brown.

Since you've already got brown hair, I probably try for black

Hair color ideas?

johm

Currently dyed dark brown hair, green eyes and tan skin. I want light hair and am going tomorrow. Any ideas or pics?
I want my base color around light brown bc thats my natural color

Answer
dont go too light because you gettting out of summer, usually you go darker in fall and winter and light in summer
so dont go like blond or anything
i think a carmel or honey color would be nice
i have dark brown hair an green eyes
im always changing colors
i like the natural look its so much nicer and doesnt look cheap like the whole chunky blond highlights an stuff but esp if ur going back to schoo a neat honey/carmel color would be so nice!!
on the website try like something like the iced macchiato or the cafe con leche

Changing hair color with photoshop or app?

Mary Kim

I wanna dye my hair bubblegum blue or turquoise. and i also wanna see how i loo like with blonde hair. If there's a FREE app or there's a website for that then yeah let me know. Thanks! 10 points to best answer i guess

Answer
Free app? I'm not sure, but with Photoshop simply take out the pen tool, and trace a detailed outline of your hair, once fully traced right click on the line, and click select (Not fill background, or trace) Then simply apply a mask and edit it.

If you need fully detailed instructions you can always request it on http://www.GraphicHub.net the members there are always helpful with designers that need help.

Hair Coloring/At Home /Permenant Type?

Pj

I am in my 50's and suddenly my light blond hair is over 80 percent very stubblrn gray! I have tried so called better color brands of color at home. To see after using them I can still see gray! Or within 2 weeks of using the permenant color was applied raging gray roots. At this point what are my options? What is a old woman to do?
Thank you for your kindness

Answer
As a Hair Stylist my advice is this SAY NO TO AT HOME COLOR!!! It comes in a box and can not in anyway be specifically designed for YOUR hair. A lot of people think that we just want the money for doing the colors and that is completely untrue. Everyone's hair is unique and requires it's own special formula that only a hair stylist can give you. You are going to spend just as much going through box after box of color than just going to the salon once to get it done. Every time there after would just be a "retouch" and would only have to be put on the new hair that has grown out.

I hope this helps!!!

Coloring my hair at home?

em

Is it better to wash my hair when it is clean or dirty? I want to color my hair tonight and my hair is dirty. I am going out tonight so I want clean hair when I go out, but I don't want to shampoo my hair right after I color it because it would wash out some of the color before it sets? So should I wash my hair before I color it?

Answer
Do not wash your hair before because the color will not take as well to your hair and when you're washing the color out your hair will probably get clean enough maybe afterwards just use some dry shampoo but do not shampoo it while you're washing the color out because then it will wash a lot of the color out

Are side bangs a popular hairstyle of 2010,just as the crazy farrah fawcett wings were in the 80s?

Madison Ry

Like people look back on the 60s, and think of people having short bobbish hair with tights curls- like tracy turnblad on hairspray, 70s , we think of super long hair down and straight or in pigtails, the 90s we think of straight hair w/ wispy bangs that required too much hairspray. & of course the 80s, we think mainly of the farrah fawcett hairstyle/ big hair in general. Is this look just another run of the mill look that goes with this generation that we will laught out down the road, especially b/c it is labeled as "scene", and will it look old fashioned 20 years later just like 80s hair does? Just want to know what yall think.

Answer
In my opinion hairstyles are just going to get wackier down the road. They will get worse before they get better. People will all be walking around with blue hair some day. But, the difference between this generations hairstyles and the previous is that our hairstyles actually look good.

Hair Extension question?

honeypunki

I want to get glue in extensions for my hair. But my hair is two different colors. The underneath is blonde and the top is brown. Should I just dye my whole head one color? I feel like the extensions are gunna look weird if the blonde is all long and brown is short. >.<

Answer
Getting extensions are not that easy, like buying shoes. AND if you have problem styling your own hair, add hair extensions to the formula, it will be even harder to style when you have them.

People waste tons of money on extensions because it's the new trend. Without doing much research. Then, they come to YA HAIR and ask us questions on how to clip it on their hair, if they can go swimming, play sports, if they can dye or perm, etc. Do you think you'll have time for school, trying to put on hair extensions over 1 hour every morning? Then, they ruin it by dyeing to match their hair.
If you live in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Texas or San Diego and you wear hair extensions made by Remy, it COULD have been from a stolen beauty store and are sold for much more! It's also possible they're being sold ONLINE.
It's really not that simple! Then again, it will not work out if you have thin hair, the clip will be showing through! How embarrassing will that be, if it keeps falling out from your head, if it's not on right!?!
May 22, 2011: Model and businesswoman Katie Price, who was formerly topless model Jordan, is demanding compensation from a top Los Angeles hair salon after she spent $17,000 on hair colourings and extensions that she claims were botched, leaving her hair so damaged it began falling out.

Kate Gosselin got hers from a salon, and she was on the front cover of People magazine, but she HATED her hair!!!! Access Hollywood. She paid $7,000 for hers. Took 7 hours.

At the salon: 25-50 ($50-$100) extensions, they also have hidden costs, like monthly maintenance fees, one girl charge YA poster $248 more saying the salon put 120 extensions on her head, but she only counted 60. They are very charming!
Google Britney Spear's hair extensions. July 21, 2010.
Jessica Simpson & Paris Hilton don't even use their own hair extensions, plus they have stylists to do them in photo shoots or travel with them. Jessica was photographed, showing her clip-ons during a windy day.

EXAMPLES OF WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT their HAIR EXTENSIONS
well on friday i got synthetic extensions, and they dont curl very well, so i was wondering if i plaited them and left them over night would they go crinkly and mix in with my real hair
because theyre fake i dont know if i can actually style them very well, which is annoying!
+they are starting too get ratty, any tips on how to take care of them ?
thanks!

One more ex:
I removed my hair extensions yesterday after 4 months. My hair is really thin does any1 no any good products to thicken it?

And another ex:
i bought 100 dollars clip in 100% human hair extensions and it hurts and pulls my hair. u shud just wait til it grows out. my hair was real short and i wanted extensions real bad and now i feel bad wasting 100 bucks on that where i cud of spent it on clothes or sumother beauty thing. ur not going to wear them after a while cuz u get annoyed having to keep clipping them in and all or whateever kind of extensions ur getting.

This one says it all:
i have had hair extensions done in a hairdressers in melton mowbray 3weeks ago. i have been told they are 100% real hair but they look terrible,it looks like i have been back-combing it. if i curl them it just goes frizzy and if i straighten them it also goes very frizzy with the back-coming look. i have bought all the products that was advised and i have looked after them the way i was told to. i have had hair extensions before and they were lovely, i had no problems. i have been back 2 times to the hairdressers for help and advise and i was told that the hair is rubbing on my shoulders which is giving the back-combing look (my shoulders are not that big). i am now asking for my money back and the hair taken out but they are refusing. i have spoke to the hairdressing federation and they told me to call trading standards, they said to get them tested but i do not know where to send them. thanks for any help.

GLUE IN EXTENSIONS DAMAGING TO HAIR?
Example taken from YA HAIR - thinning hair
My natural hair was just past my shoulders. I had 16 inch glue in extensions put in and kept them for about 3 weeks. I took them out two days ago, and not only does my scalp still hurt (it feels as if I ripped out pieces of my natural hair...), but my hair is also SIGNIFICANTLY thinned and slightly shorter. I've done some research and I've found that glue in extensions can do this to your natural hair. Aside from constantly wearing my clip in extensions...what can I do to restore my natural hair back to it's original thickness? Is there anything else I can do?

This is frustrating the hell outta me. I need to get my hair done professionally and I can't find a freakin salon that specializes in African American hair. I live in San Diego, CA area. Could some one PLEASE point me in the right direction as to where I can I find a Hair Salon that specializes in African American Hair Care. Thank you very much! Would be a BIG help to me.
Braiding, relaxers, doobies, weaves, cuts, trims

Answer
Are you looking for a place that uses relaxers or a place that does braiding and extentions? Personally, I would google it, (relaxer Black Hair San Diego) or ask any women of color that you see on the street. Especially if they have great hair.

I found information about Chez Josette in San Diego. They seem to specialize in extentions and Black Hair care. The two salons below work with chemical relaxers.

Queen of Curls Beauty Salon - (619) 283-9770 - 3266 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA -

Details about me: I'm a guy. I currently have medium length hair. My bangs fall down to my eyebrow level. My hair is also very thick and wavy like. i do straighten it most of the times. I have a huge forehead (literally a 4 head) & i want a hairstyle that can either cover it or reduce the appearance of it.

Current hairstyle: Modern day bowl cut - http://www.elle.com/cm/elle/images/BD/07-AGYNESS-DEYN.jpg <-- i know its a female ref but my hair is more masculine. and a bit shorter on the sides and back.

I would really love if you guys would give me any hairstyle ideas that could help me with my forehead issue. I also want something different & edgy (i would really love to stay away with the common hair trends for men such as ; side parts, vintage slick backs, greaser hairstyles) < ive had them before and i want something different.

Long or short hairstyles are fine. I really hope someone can guide me to the right hairstyle.

other details: my face shape is sorta weird is mix with oval and around my cheek area and jawline is round..so i dont know.

Answer
How about going with something super short in the back--almost buzz cut, and short on the sides, and then a little choppy/asymmetrical in the front. Like this, but shorter on the back and sides: http://www.my-hairstyles.com/mens-hairstyles/male-highlighted-hairstyles

That will also leave you the option to style it up and a little spiky which will pull your face/forehead up a little and de-emphasize the largeness of your forehead. Like this (second series of pics down) http://thefashiontag.wordpress.com/2013/09/18/the-undercut-men-hairstyle-trend-2013/

What's a good hair color for pale skin and brown eyes?

kadmarco

My skinks naturally pale with no freckles" porcelain " skin.my hair is naturally a dark brown. I was thinking maybe a honey brown??help!!!

Answer
I think you shou should stick with dark brown hair if you have porcelain skin it would be qite striking. Do not die your hair blonde! you will absolutely destroy your hair, believe me. I wouldn't reccomend dying it black unless you like the terotypical "emo" look try highlights if you are bored of your hair. I would reccomend a copper or red... it doesn't sound amazing but i've seen it on several girls and it really adds something. I would suggest buyin wash out dyes you know the ones that last 10 washes before trying anything, that way you can experiment. But again i would strongly reccomend avoiding blonde as the bleach destroys your hair turning it to straw, it's also hard to keep up and i know several girls who hated it when there hair turned orange as it washed out.

Best of luck!

My job allows me to dye my hair different colors, should I? I am 21 years old and going to college in August..?

Deidra Y

Okay.. So I got this awesome job at a Yogurt place here in town.. They allow us to dye our hair different crazy colors and I am considering doing my hair pink or green! I have dark brunette natural hair, (which I have been trying to grow out and is now the natural color) It is very thick and coarse. However, I almost feel like I will be acting childish since I am going to College in August.. I will plan on changing my hair back before then, so this would only be a summer thing.. Any ideas? Thank you!
~Dee~

Answer
if you dont want permenent colour go for coloured extensions or just your fringe. You would need to heavily bleach your hair to get the colour to take and that could damage your hair. But î would definitely go for it. I have had every colour under the rainbow and im in my 40's!

Edgy hairstyle for 40 year old woman-any suggestions?

Violet

Hi, I have a round face shape and my hair is currently about 2-3 inches below shoulders, and a boring dark/medium brown with copper/red tones. I have a fringe/bangs and my eyes are mostly brown/with a small bit of green and I have pale to medium skin. I would like to colour my hair and want a totally new style as I am turning 40 in January. Any suggestions for an edgy, modern style?

Answer
Get some short layers, dye your hair a red colour and get some blonde, brown platinum highlights.

what are the best hairstyles for a tall person, oval face?

WickedKitt

I have a friend who asked me for help with haircuts, please, PLEASE help me.

She has thick, long, black hair and as I said, she's tall and has an oval face. Her style isn't girly at all, she's like the skater or hipster kind of people. She's a teen.

Help! Thanks!

Answer
Truth, oval face, you can have any hairstyle! Any hairstyle will go with an oval face, here is the diffrent types of faces... http://www.curlyhairsalon.com/hairstyle-face-shape.html Personally I think long wavy/curly hair would be the Best! ;) But if your a fan of short hair i recommend wavy hair as well.

What kind of hairstyles look best for an oval-shape face?

Q. I have a short forehead. I also have very thick, fine, straight hair that tangles easily.

My hair is medium length. Right now I just have it all one length with an angle cut in the front, and I part it to the side. I don't really like the side part, but parting it down the middle looks plain. I usually just get long layers and an angle in the front, and I part it to the side... but it gets old. I want something different! I would try some side bangs, but my face is long and I have a short forehead.

Anyone have any good ideas?

Answer
Oval Shape
Egg shaped with a forehead and jaw that are the same width
The ideal face shape, because it is proportionally balanced.

Styles to try: an oval face will suit any hairstyle be it straight, wavy, curly, short, medium or long.

Styles to avoid: try to avoid wearing your hairstyle on your face as you'll lose the shape behind the hair and may also add the appearance of weight to your face.

If you have a short forehead avoid short bangs. You can get a haircut that look good straight, and also able to make it curly or wavy. To style your hair in different ways is the key to look different. Use hair accesories like headbands, hairclips, etc. Try to put your hair in a messy bun, or a half updo.

I will recommend that you visit these websites in which you can download you photo, and see yourself in different haircuts:

Denise Rich has a style that seems to flow like a fountain starting at the top with side swept bangs that stand up before they turn back onto the style as they should.
See the picture in this link:

Whatever you decide just remember the way you style and take care of your hair is the key. Use a leave-in conditioner for your tangles. Also try this boar brush to help it to detangle, and give it more shine:

What colour hair is best suited to olive skin? 10 EASY POINTS?

Amy

I have olive skin and i have very dark brown hair at the moment. I really want lighter hair but im not quite sure what colour to go for. I dont want blonde hair, but i do want a light shade. Thank you for your help :) amy x

Answer
As a rule, dark hair colors suit olive skin tones best, regardless of whether your skin tone is cool or warm, so consider black, medium brown, darker blonde hair shades and dark reds as potential hair colors for you.

Going two shades lighter or darker than your natural hair color will give you the most flattering finish. For example, if your hair is naturally black then a brown or dark brown hair color is a great option to try.

A warm hair color will pick up the golden, yellow undertones of your olive complexion and enhance them. You, being a brunette, could go with shades of golden brown, mocha brown, chestnut, auburn or a caramel color.

how come i suit lighter hair colours although i am light/medium olive skinned?

((No Name)

i have naturally black hair, yet i dye my hair alot and lighter colours seem to look much better than darker colours.

i am 'light-medium olive skinned' ; skin looks somewhat tanned

anyway most people tend to suit hair colors closer to their skin color yet i dont, why is this?

Answer
Its not really the skin color that counts.
Its what we have, like I have cool skin.
To find out what you have try dressing in gold or silver. If you match with the gold you are a warm skin which makes you match with red, blonde warm browns type of thing, and possibly pink.
If you match with silver, then you match with black dark brown purple blue hair.

I match with both. My hair was blue last year with purple streaks and now I have red hair with brown streaks.

A question about hair color?

Maria

would a demi permanent neutral color blend in with gray hair?

Answer
For gray hair you need to go for a full coverage color. In most cases the stylist would apply a double series for double the coverage, such as an NN series. Yet, If your looking for a store bought hair color please shy away from red or a color with red undertones. often gray hair turns orange with red.

Best of luck~

Any good places to get my hair colored in El Paso, TX?

Elizabeth

Answer
Texas, or Oregon, NYC, or Chicago . . . . there are no best places to get your hair colored. There is never a guarantee about damaged hair, or hair loss, or hair color gone wrong, done @ home or salon.

Go to YELP or Craigslist and read reviews or post on their message boards there from your city, or search name of salon under Better Business Bureau.

Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. About 336,000 results (0.17 seconds) Dec. 2011
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.
Vanessa Minnillo Lachey: "I dated a guy once who wanted me to have blonde hair. Clearly, he was the wrong guy for me! I went to a lady who bleached my hair and it literally fell out. So, not only did I go back to my natural hair, I broke up with the guy!"

One example: MY HAIR DRESSER DYED MY HAIR GREY. I've been crying for the last 2 hours, I want to kill that bish for destroying what was amazing bleach blonde hair. AND to make things worse, she cut my extensions WAY too short.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.
Example: "My hair is right about armpit length as it is, but I've severely damaged it by bleaching it all at once. As a student of cosmetology myself, I would have to say that it was probably one of the worst mistakes I could have ever made."
Another example: ok i did my hair yesterday i DIDN'T bleach it ,but im not sure what its called but she took the color out of my hair and then dies it a blond color and my head was on fire it killed me so after that i hated my hair color so i colored it my self a darker color, it looked so ugly and it burned me again it rully hrt so after i washed it my mom checked it for me and found small spots of blood all over my top scalp like over 20 of em now im scared and don't know why its there is it from the color am i sick and something is wrong ??

Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

Any salons in Chicago that dye hair crazy colors?

Stardust

By crazy colors, I mean purple, blue, pink, rainbow, etc. I'm asking because my sister wants to get her hair done for her birthday, but doesn't want to do it with the box bleach and dye. She wants it professionally done, but in a "crazy" color. Any help would be appreciated, her birthday is in a few weeks and I tried searching for a few hours but turned up with nothing.

Most places can do it. They mix colors and get what you want.

What are good hairstyles for teens (boys) with glasses?

Jake

I want to have a new hairstyle but I don't look good with some of the ones I look at. I'm 13 but I look a lot older (puberty). Some people say I look 14 or 15. I kinda look like a nerd too. I have rectangular glasses, acne, and braces (lol) and light brown, medium length hair. When it was longer I had it like Ian from smosh but its cut now too so I usually just have it standing up in front but curved to the side also.
I want to get my beiber hair back but it takes a long time to grow so this is just for while my hair is this lenght

Answer
It isn't really clear how short it is now or which Justin Bieber style. The average rate of hair growth is 1/8"per week. A regular haircut can suit most thirteen year old guys. If a shorter style is desired, an ivy league or crew cut. Braces aren't really a consideration for a hairstyle; might want to consider contact lenses, they give a much wider field of clear vision and are a lot better for sports. As far as acne, styles that have the hair on the forehead tend to exacerbate the condition.

Search the internet for images of football(soccer)star Lukas Podolski for examples of ivy league and crew cut styles. A minute dab of control wax aka butch wax will keep the hair looking well groomed at crew cut and ivy league length. A butch comb also helps with grooming the short pomp styles- the small, flat, plastic, oval, pocket brushes that one finger fits through and barbers sell for about a dollar. A boar bristle military brush is usually available for a few dollars and while too large for a guy to carry in his pocket, is nice to have at home.
