What color should I dye my hair? I'm bored and want some ideas! (I'm the girl, obviously =))

Answer
Your hair looks red to me, so correct me if I'm wrong and I'll give you tips for whatever color your hair really is. But for now, I shall give you red hair tips.

Red Head Highlights:
If you have natural red or auburn hair, you may be looking for an accent or highlight color. You may want to add depth and sparkle to your natural shade. There are a variety of red hair colors that enhance naturally red hair. A temporary rather than semi-permanent color can add a punch of color that will increase the shine and boldness of your natural shade, taking it up a notch without changing the tone. Depending on your current hair shade, highlight colors include:
â¢Blonde
â¢Golden shades
â¢Strawberry Blonde
â¢Copper
â¢A combination of darker red lowlights and highlights

But then again, you're hair also looks kind of brown. Eh, I'll give you tips for that, too (By the way, I have more tips for Brunette hair simply because I am one, so don't feel that the red head tips are getting ripped off :)):

Brightening Brunettes and Brown Hair Highlights:
Brown hair can be brightened into a multitude of hues through various hair styling and coloring techniques, including:
* Highlights: Adding honey, ginger, almond, russet, or other light highlights to brown hair adds texture and dimension to the hair. Be careful not to go too many shades lighter to avoid a streaked appearance, and note that darker brown shades do not show red highlights well.
* Hair Accessories: Dark shades show off glittering hair pins, head bands, and decorative comes far better than lighter hair colors, particularly in updos and other formal hair styles.
* Natural Lightening: Most brown shades will lighten naturally with exposure to sunlight, and they will develop red and blonde tints depending on each individualâs genetic makeup. To create natural highlights in unique patterns (and ensuring that more than the top layer of hair is lightened) wear braids or ponytails to expose different strands.
If you already have brunette hair and are looking for ways to save some hard earned, beauty-splurge cash, why not go back to your roots and go the natural route? Despite popular fears that brown hair is boring, there are plenty of spicy ways to add a timeless look to your already beautiful brunette hair.
* Enrich: Enrich your natural color with an allover shade a few shades richer. To add some contrast and interest, ask your stylist to weave in a few copper hair highlights.
* Deepen: Go chocolate! If youâre natural brown borders on moussey, richen it up with a decadent shade of chocolate brown, which will add instant drama with little investment.
* Shine: Shine or color glossing treatments adds sparkle and sheen to dark hair. A glossing treatment can be done in the salon for a bargain price and will instantly add some life to your locks.
* Vanilla and Chocolate: Want the best of both worlds? Brunettes can still play with blonde without a large commitment. Ask your stylist to add a few strategically placed blonde hair highlights around your face to brighten your look while keeping the rest of your color natural.
* Chunk: Although not as trendy as days gone past, statement chunking techniques on a dark base add instant pop and a low maintenance color choice for those seeking a dramatic and bold look. Experiment with shades of blue, blonde, or red chunks. Get creative!

what is a good hairstyle that will let me keep my LONG hair but give it style? ( young teen) something trendy.

My hair is thick, long, and pretty frizzy. I need a transformation...

Answer
if your hair is frizzy, straighten it.
you can get a straightener from walmart, target, online, and any beauty suppy shop. (sally's beauty supply is my favorite.)

if your parents will allow you, DYE YOUR HAIR. make it look natural! nothings better than a whole new color to go with your new straightened hair! if not, look into streaks, highlights, and maybe just a little color. (as in blue, green, ect.)

if your hair is thick, and your not happy with it, go to the salon, ask for just a quick thinning. they'll know what to do, and to make it 'edgy' but 'trendy' get a razor cut. it always looks great, maybe even get some layers? <3

do you have bangs? you can get long bangs, grow them out. you can get side-bangs, (which always look great!) just part it with a come to the side you prefer.

look online for cool pictures of styles you admire, show your parents, you dont wanna come home with something they dont like, they'll just keep bugging you until you fix/change it.

bring preference pictures with you to salons, they'll get a better view of what you want, remember, if they're doing something you dont like to your hair. immediatly say something! dont hold back and wait until the damage is done, i know from experience you'll just be sorry in the end.

stay away from any shampoo's that are greasy and not made for your type of hair. it will result in dandruff, greasy hair, and it will sometimes have a weird smell.

i hope this helped :)
