Who is Dan

I'm 21 M college student. I have 7 courses left to take. They are night classes. The job i have the interview for is basicly a preschool for military families. I'm wearing a tie, but i was just wondering if there were any certain colors that made people seem more appealling.

Answer
You want to present a fairly conservative image. First, you're a male going into child care, and people (unfairly, in my opinion) tend to be somewhat wary of guys who want to be around young kids. Second, military families tend to be VERY conservative.

A white or light blue button down shirt, with navy or gray pants will look good on most people. Blue and gray are business colors. Many people love yellow...and it looks horrid on most people. Save yellow for interior decorating and such, unless you always get remarks on how good a yellow shirt looks on you. Don't look too trendy, you want to project an image of stability. Wearing a tie is an excellent idea.

Be meticulous in your grooming. Military folks put great store in things like neatly pressed pants, smoothshaven faces (a mustache is usually OK, but not a soul patch), and short haircuts. Again, don't be trendy, don't show up with blue hair even if it really, really looks good on you. Take out all piercings, even if it's just an earring. Lip and eyebrow piercings are right out.

There were a few books out, some years ago, with titles like "Dress For Success" which had the results of various studies. Your local library, and probably your college library, will have copies of this book, or similar books. I don't agree with everything these books say, but they can be useful tools. Make sure that you notice just when they were written, though, and let that be your guide when it comes to the fashion advice in those books as regards to styles and such.

My husband was in the Air Force for several hitches, and I learned how to get along in the military culture.

What are good makeip tips for olive skin tone and med auburn hair?

I have an olive skin tone and natural dark brown hair i just recently dyed my hair to a medium auburn i usually wear black eyeliner but it seems too heavy for the lighter color can any one recommend something other than dark brown eyeliner

Answer
Ooh that's a nice, natural mix. For eyeshadow, you could either continue to make it natural/subtle looking with shades of brown, smart and sophisticated with very subtle grays or you could go trendy with bright colors. It kind of depends on your eyes. If they're brown or hazel, continue the natural look. But if they're gray/ light blue go with subtle grays or light subtle blues. Also, if you have blue or green eyes, go with fun, funky colors like pink or purple, or earth tones like brown or green.
Also, black eyeliner is good, as long as you don't put too much on.
