How long should your hairstylist give you a guarantee for hair color?

I recently had my hair colored from brown with blond highlights to just brown. Within 2 weeks it had faded, I text my hairstylist and she said it would be $65 for an all over color. How long would you expect a hairstylist (that you have seen and never complained to for over 2 years) to guarantee your hair color?

Answer
No hair stylist can give you a definite guarantee for how long a color can last because it depends on MANY different situations. The porosity of your hair, the density of your hair and whether it is fine, medium or thick can all cause it to respond differently. The natural color of your hair can make a difference in how long it stays in as well. Cosmetologists can look at hair and access it based on all of these factors, but it is difficult to really say for sure how long something is going to last.

What can my daughter do to fix a hair color disaster?

My daughter went today to get her hair colored. She picked a really nice brown color, but when it was done, it almost looks like black. She hates it. It cost her $65.00. Is there anyway to make it lighter without damaging her hair more?

Answer
It will lighten.
It always looks darker at first, plus it may be a shock if she was another color.
If she really hates it after a couple of days, go back to the stylist and have her/him correct it. Don't try it yourself.
