I'm honestly a little confused about the whole toner turning your hair white or silver, or whatever. But my hair color is a bleached yellow blonde color. Will it really work? And how does it work? I don't want to bleach it anymore and I was originally going to use Manic Panic Virgin Snow toner but I've read some bad reviews on it.
Also, does it get rid of the yellow in one wash or what?

toning your hair to a more desirable tone of blonde can be done with many versions of purple or laveder (semi permanent ) toner - this can be like manic panic virgin snow, or purple shampoo, or other semi perm. options.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW;
1, these product will not further lighten your hair, they tine unwanted gold by ADDING purple pigment, so they will not "lighten" the hair any further
2, these products are "semi perm" not permanent so depending on what degree of gold you start with it will be safe to re-apply multiple times to acheive the hair color you are looking for.
3, because these products are only semi perm you may find the desired color changing with shampooing etc - you may and should re-apply toning products as needed to MAINTAIN the desired tone (again only if the products are semi perm)
After you bleach the hair multiple times you may fall into the category of requiring "corrective" hair color - a syptom of this will be irregular color down the hair strand, if this is the state that your hair is currently in you will not be able to tone the color uniformly as the toner will react differently to all of the tones, you probably should consult a coorective color specialist if this is the case

I have black hair with brown/copper highlights. I'd like to make my hair lighter (like a light brown) for my halloween costume. What temporary hair coloring products should I try? And where can I get them? I'm looking for something that I can get at a drug store or supermarket and something that's safe and won't ruin my hair.

Colour Pulse By L'Oreal. You can get it at pretty much any drug store I think

It washes out really quickly, and makes your hair super shiny & healthy looking. Ive used it twice in two months and it didnt damage my hair at all.
