Hair help for a woman who rides a motorcycle.?

Rhonda B

I just started riding a motorcycle to work. I'm a 50+ year old woman who happens to be a plus (16) size. It's difficult enough to find a descent haircut with a rounder face, now I have the problem of taking off my helmet and my hair is a little sweaty and a MESS! What hairstyle could I wear to make it easy to fix after the helmet comes off but doesn't make me look like a d---? Any help out there?

Answer
one of those really short guy like ones.
or do a bob. and wear a ponytail..
or you could always suck it up and deal with the ickyness

How can I get my 11 year old to do hair?

Avlis

I have an 11 year old tom boy. She has curly hair. She wines when she has to brush her hair and never wants to put it up so ends up looking like bozo gthe clown and she thinks she looks neat for school. I will put up her hair and she will take it down as soon as she gets to school. Im trying to get her to be more mindful of how she looks and presents herself. She really doesnt care. Any tips or ideas? Im on the verge of cutting it short but she doesnt want that. she wants it long. I keep telling her she has to take care of it.
Im not forcing. do you have children? There is a difference between looking neat and looking like a slob. She is a beautiful girl that is at a stage where she doesnt care about how she looks. We are talking about appearance here. For petes sake we have to remind her to put deodorant on lol

My YS started doing his own hair (like Elvis) when he was in pre-school. His older brother started gelling his hair like the Backstreet Boys, so he's got a good role model. They both cut their own hair now, living in different states. So, they spend a lot of time on their hair, but saving money at the same time.

Your DD has curly hair! She's also 11 and doing everything wrong, no wonder she hates it.
"You" here is referred to as HER, sorry!
You hair is envy from us stick straight haired girls! If you know how to care for your hair type, you won't have this problem. Melina Kanakaredes is an example who has hair like yours and she's got beautiful wavy hair.

Towel dry, scrunch with gel like Samy, blow-dry using a diffuser briefly, toussle the hair, finger comb, shake your head & you're good to go. If you don't have a diffuser, use a blow heat dryer on low for 5 mins.
When you wake up, instead of shampooing again, keep a bottled water filled with water/conditioner and spray on your hair. Scrunch, finger comb and you're good to go!
One method to make it look fuller, add body, bouncier, thicker, softer & shiny hair is to set your hair with plastic curlers after you towel dry, you'll end up with uniform balance of curls. Blow dry briefly while curling them in curlers. Take them out, and finger comb to style. Used by the best hair color models, and the fashion industry, like Victoria Secret Fashion Show Dec. 2009, America's Next Top Models, EXPRESS, Dancing with the Stars . . . . and continued to be used today where salons care about pampering your hair. When you see hair on TV a hair color commercial, they're not done by curling or straightening tools. Hair that shines like that and feels like hair, not hay, has to be done by the best hair tools available w/out damaging to the hair. When you take the curlers out, finger comb to style or lightly brush. Tousle the hair up. or shake your hair. You can use large, medium or small curlers, that depends on the length of your hair.

The hair industry is a billion dollar business, their aim is to make tons of profits, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss. Shampoo is meant to clean (Google it), and if they do other things like GROW, they're lying. It's all about marketing to attract more buyers.
She's also getting peer pressures from school. Children nowadays, started dyeing & getting their hair straightened before they start HS, so by the time they're in HS, they start experiencing hair loss. Women 60-90 took them years to get there, but I've responded many girls (boys too) with hair loss more & more due to hair straightening, relaxing & dyeing their hair, or hair not growing, but they're the same ones giving advice, but they can't see the future of their hair.

Your DD is into experimenting right now, like the rest of her peers. When I was in HS, everyone had long hair, except for one who wore a wig, because it was in style. But for HS girls with hair loss? Go figure!

How can you stop your DD? You just need to explain to her, or have her read my post, that 'be yourself, don't give in to peer pressure. If you want to experiment hair, change your hairstyles." Then give her space and see where she's going with that 'style'. For over 50 years, my parents weren't happy with the hair style choices I've made, but when they hear compliments from 'strangers', they slowly smile and let me do my own thing! I don't tell them how to do their hair, but in our family, hair is not something we fight about. As long as they are not doing drugs, tattoos, and get good grades, the more power to them, and hair or clothes is not something we fight about.
