Hairstyle???

Q. I want to learn how to style my hair into that front part mohawk-like hairstyle that lots of girls are wearing. I dont know what the hairstyle is called, but it looks kinda like a small mohawk puffed out in the front part of the hair. Its a little hard to explain but to give more of a visual, Cristal a.k.a. "Serious" from VH1's Charm School wore the hairstyle in the scene where she had to walk with a book on her head and said "This is totally ruining my mohawk". Can someone please tell me what is the name of the hairstyle and tell me how I can do this style?

Answer
The Quiff. The Pompadore, the Puff. LoL.
What You Need:
Comb: one that looks like the picture:

Bobby Pins ones that will hold your hair in place:

Hair Spray:
not the one that adds volume. One that will hold your hair in place but not the sticky stuff. I use Dove Hairspray. this exact one

Ok grab the front of your hair that you want up. with the comb brush it up even it out!! Grab the hairspray and spray 2 inches away. then Comb the hair again.
Now the tricky part. Hold your hair in the air and brush the back!! not from the very top, but from the bottom a downward motion making the back bottom of your hair messy!! that way when you create the puff youll be able to shape it.
Once its shaped grab maybe 4 bobby pins and pin up the puff at the part you are holding
pin it up like an x shaped just make sure the bobby pins you have are good enough to hold your hair in place!!.

once your pompadore is in place 3 inches away from your hair. Hairspray the Puff

And Voila!! you got your hairdo

Trust me it took me forever to acutally become a pro at it. just keep trying and you will get it

oh yea and my hair is always straight when i do this hairstyle

hairstyles?
