I am African American with 4b/c natural hair.
I want to dye my hair using SheaMoisture Coloring Line system and then follow up shortly with Organix Brazillian Keratin 30 Day treatment.
Has anyone used both of these products on natural hair? I currently have SheaMoisture's Dark Golden Blonde hair color in my head now. I dyed it about a month ago. I have never used a BKT before.
Please advise and suggest! Thanks!

Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,â she explains.

How much damage will I cause my hair?

I am planning to bleach my hair (already a mid to dark blonde) with 20 volume bleach and then leave a week (in which I am planning to use a deep conditioner or protein mask every day) before dying it a light pastel pink. I will leave this colour 3 weeks, maybe dying it over and maybe not, depending how fast it fades. After that I am planning to dye it a mid or dark brown (my school does not allow unnatural hair colours :'( )
Does anyone know how much damage this is likely to cause, considering I have very thick, strong hair already?

Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments.
