best hair color at 60 image

Yes, I know Goldwell Elumen is a professional Salon hair color product. But some of us can't afford to go to salon's but you can buy these products online so I thought I'd give it a try. I will also try it on one hair strand before doing it on all of my hair of course.
Problem is though, I can't seem to find a guide on how to color with these colors anywhere. I've only heard that if you mix it with water it gets totally ruined. Anyone who can help this girl with ugly boring hair? The color I was thinking of was their PK@all, the super pink one.

On average, how much does it cost to get your hair colored at a salon?

I want my hair colored at a salon, but I'm not going to if it costs way too much. It's not a high class salon, but it's not a low class chain salon like SuperCuts. What would you say is the average price of getting hair coloring done at a salon like that?
