Edgy hairstyle for 40 year old?

Please suggest an edgy edgy hairstyle/cut for a 'non-conforming' 40 year old lady. She currently has hair about 2 inches longer than shoulder length, all one length, very long side fringe, dyed fairly light golden blonde. She hates the classic 'bob' alot of women her age get, is not afraid of color (she changes the color of her hair often) and has a round face shape. Any ideas? THANKS x
