Are hair color removal kits damaging?

mmr

I was thinking of either buying hair color removal or having it taken out at a salon, but does it damage your hair ANY bit? I know stylists say hair coloring isnt damaging, but eventually it always seems to dry my hair out, and i don't want it to get any dryer looking by using color removal.

Also, will it take all of the dye out without turning it an odd color? My hair is dyed orangeish-red and is naturally light brown, and I don't want it to come out a differant color.

Answer
If a stylist tells you hair color is not damaging she/he is not being truthful. Blow drying is damaging. Having said that, a certain amount of damage to hair is acceptable, even nessacary for those individuals with fine limp hair because it gives the hair more body. So, what you need to be concerned with is the AMOUNT of damage any particular service does to hair. Hair color removal is an extreme process that requires someone with the knowledge and experience to make the proper analysis of your hair and how much it can withstand. Hair color or it's removal is both an artistic and chemical process. Attempting it yourself is not wise. Remember, corrective color in a salon is more expensive than having the initail process done, not to mention safer when it comes to the condition of your hair.

hello friends .i jus got an awesome cut.im thinking about colouring my hair.but i want to know wheter hair colour is bad for the hair and what are its negative effects.much help would be appreciated

Answer
What hair colour you should get depends on how you look, the shape of your face, the skin tone and the eye colour.
Haircolours aren't the best thing for the hair. It dries the hair and it breaks easier. If you want a lighter hair colour, you need to bleach your hair, which really damages it. I personally like haircolours with oils, because they soften the hair. After you've coloured it, use lots of conditioner and stuff. Keep the hair soft and healthy. But, just by colouring it, your hair won't just break and fall of, but it won't be as strong as it was before. Bleaching can break the hair so much it falls of, but it's rare. It often gets damaged though
