Hair help; a couple questions for 10 pts :)?

Ok so I actually have a couple of hair questions and to start off I'll tell you about my hair lol
*Its medium length--right past my shoulders.
*Completely straight
*All the same length (last cut I didn't seem to get the layers I asked for)
*No bangs
*And dirty blonde to sometimes strawberry blonde --crazy its always seems a different shade--

And see I'm soo ready for a change!!

So a couple questions;
1.) Coloring; I want a change and I've only ever highlighted my hair once --never dyed-- and well I absolutely LOVED the highlights!! As well as the highlight color itself
But wonder what a brown color would look like

So what should I do?? Get hightlights, get it all over the highlighted color, or be bold and go for the brunette??
(Btw my skin color is light but I'm starting to use some tanner..if this matters)
Would brunette wash me out?? Or the full light blonde look bad on lighter skin??

Now 2.) Hairstyles for my hair??
I'm so used to doing nothing, its either straight and down or threw up in a messy bun..idk what else to do with it??
I never had my mom so idk how to curl it etc..
Idk even like hairstyles for my length of hair?? Give me some tips there please, from styles to how tos??
Would it be better with layers in it?? And what about side bangs?? Should I do those??

Ok so I know its a lot but I'd really like some help here please?? I'd appreciate it soo much!!
And btw if it matters, I'm 19, 5'3" and about 85lbs (yes tiny I know lol)

I personally love highlights. I'll be getting mine redone this weekend =]

1. Try a chocolate brown as a base color with blonde or caramel highlights. If you want one single color you can try chocolate brown or try LâOreal Paris Superior Preference Ultra Light Natural Brown UL51
or sheer blonde

2. Definitely get layers because it looks better when you curl it. And make sure you get a "V" shape for last bottom layer. If you don't know how to curl your hair here's a video that can guide you.

Start with creating a capsule wardrobe: basic, "must-have's" vs. trendy stuff. Once one has the basics, she can rely on accessories to provide pops of colour and interest. You'll never have "..I have nothing to wear" blues again, if you have the essentials.

Instead of changing color, change your hairstyle. By doing that, you now have hundreds of different options. With changing hair color, you still have the same LONG HAIR.

I have very long hair and I can style my hair 7 different ways a week. Takes 2-10 mins. I've posted 57 in 25 months.

HOW TO STYLE LONG HAIR:
Dress up an easy down day with a bow.
Try the trendy wrap-around braid with bangs.
Make your hair and accessory with a huge topknot.
Scrunch with a texturizing spray for a beach-y look.
Soften up a work blazer with a sweet side part.
Use a round brush for a full-of-body blowout.
Rough up a side pony with a rugged safari hat.
Try a classic French braid, coil to the side.
Embrace fluffy curls - the bigger, the better!
Do Duchess Catherine brown (the new blond).
Disguise grow-out bangs with a single braid.
If you dare: shaved sides are having a moment.
Do a Farrah-style flip, any face shape.
Whip up a Rapunzelesque rope braid.
Days-old hair? Do a double deck pony.

Prom is coming up and I really have no clue what color and style of dress I should look for. Does anybody know what would look best for my hair color and skin tone? I'm pretty pale, have really really really long darkish blond hair. I am 5' 7'' and 123 pounds, pretty small chested, flat stomach, but thicker legs, so short dresses don't look too great on me :/ Also suggestions for jewelry, accessories, and shoes would be appreciated! can i just start off with how beautiful you are!!!, your hair is amazing!!

You would look good in a long flowy dress, baby blue chiffon material or a lilac, deep purple, those colours would look great, and because your tall (like me) long length will suit your figure beautifully....a few sparkles/diamanté would look great......dont go for a puffed-out dress, it will suit you but a loose flowy one will really compliment your figure :)

What color should I dye my hair?

Q. I have a pale skin tone and I want a grunge look. Ok so think Frances Bean. Same skin tone. Love her hair! When it's blonde. But the thing is, I don't want it blonde. I tried doing the ombre thing at home but I ruined it x(
I don't want to go to a salon. I cut my own hair as well as dye it. I'm thinking about dying it red. But it's hard to manage. I'm just stuck! Any ideas?

Red hair is VERY hard to maintain, i warn you, but it looks AMAZING! If you go for a red, i suggest you touch it up about every 4 weeks. Or just whenever it starts to fade. Also, red is a bugger to get out, and will take a long time to get rid of when you want to change again. :)
