I want to dye my hair brown again, but I haven't washed my hair since Wednesday. Should I dye it now, while my hair is dirty since hair dye will hold to dirty hair best, or wash it and wait a day before dying it? I'm using permanent store bought hair color. I've been advised to just wait and go ahead and dye it later today, but I wore a Turbie Twist on my head and got cotton fuzzies all over my hair so I was gonna wash my hair to get them out.

What are some ideas for medium ash brown hair color ?

My hair is just plain medium ash brown and I have fair/light skin tone with hazel eyes and curly hair I'm not sure if I should go lighter or darker ? Any ideas thank you :)
