I was certified years ago in a european country, also went 3 years to trade school for it and I was very skilled. I have been thinking about getting back into it but I have no clue where to start.
Can I work without licencing from/or to homes?

You will need a cosmetology license. You will also need 1500 to 2000 hours of official training and to pass a state exam. Look for a cosmetology/ beauty school for training. been there done that. Good luck.

I love Garnier's range. They do a multi-lights kit which is a great way to do your own highlights - it's easy, very cheap, and looks beautiful.

They also have a great range of normal hair colours which you can use before highlighting. The nutrisse range is great if you have dry hair, otherwise belle color is ace.

That's not true, that the earlier it starts the more severe it gets. A lot of times, men reach a sort of plateau when it comes to baldness, as in, they reach a certain point where they aren't gaining or losing any more hair. You may see this happen to you, or you may not. The thing is, you can't judge how far your hair is going to go by your father and uncle (if he is your father's brother). Baldness genetics generally come from the mother's side of the family. For example, my brother (22 years old) recently started experiencing thinning hair while our 57-year-old father still has a very full head of hair. Unfortunately, our uncles on our mother's side are all bald or balding, so we all kind determined that my bro was doomed from the start. It happens.

Whatever you do, DO NOT do a comb-over or wear fake hair. Bald men can actually be really sexy, but comb-overs and fake hair on men never will be (with women, fake hair is a different story, because we're held to higher hair standards. Still, you'll hardly ever see a balding woman with a comb-over!) Especially if you reach a point where you've only got enough hair left for a Homer Simpson hairstyle... just shave it all!

It doesn't look bad, but it is generally a look reserved for young girls. If you don't mind this or people thinking it looks a little out of place on a grown woman, then more power to you! Most men don't notice things like that at all unless it's pointed out, so close to 50% of the population doesn't care as long as you look nice otherwise. As for sniping women, well to heck with them!

Being a child myself (13), I wouldn't want my mother having crazy hair, or boring hair. My advice is to get it shoulder length, all one colour, and bangs, so you could leave then down, or put them back with a headband or clips. Get some layers as well, all around, not just in the front making them curve in.

Imagine Fashion Designer for the DS is really good you can make your model (choose her hairstyle, hair colour, eye colour ect.). Then you can design clothes, take photo shoots in Hawaii, Paris, London ect. and go on the catwalk. it's really good because you can choose the style and cut the sleeves, chose the pattern or design your own and chose from lots of different shades of lots of different colours.

Should patch tests be done before Hair Rinsing?

Q. I bought Avatar semi-permanent hair color rinse, I'm unsure if I should do a Allergy patch test for it.
The label says that it's Ammonia and Peroxide free, and it says nothing about conducting a patch test before use, should I still do it? Or just go ahead and put the hair rinse in my hair?
This is my first time coloring my hair.

Since it's your first time and you probably don't know what you're allergic to in a hair color, then you should do the allergy patch test just to be on the safe side. :) Hope this helped.

How can I make my hair color last longer?

I have naturally dark brown/blackish hair, and every 6-8 weeks I color it shiny blue black. I love the intensity of the black when I first color it, but it fades within a couple of weeks. Every time I wash my hair, which is not everyday (I have curly hair), I can see the color rinsing out. I don't know what to do to make the color stay in my hair so that I don't have to keep coloring my entire head every time. Suggestions please!

I have very thick long hair and I am trying to remove black hair dye. I need two boxes of hair color remover but I accidentally bought one box of Color Oops extra strength and one box of Color oops extra conditioning. Is it okay if I mix these two boxes, they are the same brand.

advise:u dont really wanna be i dont wanna sound self centered but im pretty popular, and all my girl friends are so fake and always start gossip but if u really want, which i advise not

hair: just find a color that works with ur skin tone, and have side sweep bangs, not to short either

sports: volleyball and dance in my school

clothes: hollister, aeropostale, hot topic, american eagle, abercrombie, pac sun

shoes: and just show ur style

prettier: eyeliner, mascara (not too much u dont wanna look slutty) use coverup for any acne issues, make sure u shower everyday ha

confident: thats kind of something u have by urself, just realise wen ur done with high school u dont wanna regret anything and just be confident and do anything u want while u still can cause this is your one chance and U CAN DO IT woot woot!!

I personally like the Hair Cut #1, bangs or no bangs it is so adorable! I am not much fan of #2 personally because I have had it myself before and it was a pain in the butt to take care of. I have the Hair Cut #1 right now and it is easy to take care of and fun to style it into different things.

To really give a definitive answer I would need a lot more information, what you like and your body/facial structure. For instance, skin tone, eye color and hair color all play a role in fashion But for starters, layers are a big role in trendy fashion right now, so remember that when layering you want to go from lightest to heaviest materials, so wool on top linen or cotton on the bottom layer. Denim has made a triumphant return to shirts/jackets, if you like the rebel/romantic look go for a dark denim shirt with a black sport coat. Also remember to TRY on everything you like on the rack, sometimes that perfect pair of jeans isn't as hot as you think, they should define your rear, make the legs seem longer (so NO sag!!!!) and fit well with the intended shoe you wear. I think that this would be a great time to introduce you to some MUST have's in every guys wardrobe.

Jeans- This is the American staple of comfort, yet so many guys get the fit wrong. Skinny jeans do nothing if you're a heavy set guy nor do "baggy" jeans to a short guy. The jean should be a relaxed or straight cut, that hugs your rear nicely. The pockets shouldn't have any over the top stitching, beading, or designs. That doesn't mean skip the stitching all together just go for a less pronounced stitch. Blazer/Sport Coat- This piece can do double duty. It can make a casual look seem more complete and take a look to new heights, formal. Just remember to get the best fit you can, if you do not know your fit ask a clerk as they will have some knowledge on what will fit best or better yet buy a really nice sports coat and have it tailored. Polo Shirt- These are ESSENTIAL, if you're still wearing "just" a graphic tee or plain crew neck, upgrade. The polo can make you seem a little more "prepared" in the fashion world, they can make you look a little more formal while stay perfectly comfortable. Stay away from bright neon colors and double layering, popping the collar is also a no-no. The fit should be just below the belt line, giving you room to lift your hand without the short rising above the navel. The fit should be fitted if you're buying from a ready-to-wear line though it should be comfortable too. STAY AWAY FROM TIES WITH A POLO!! I have only seen this done "right" once, and the guy is like a fashion guru who does a ton of vintage shopping. You will end up looking foolish if you wear a tie with a polo. You should also look into a good pair of sunglasses such as Ray-Ban, Maui Jims, Prada, or Diors, I know they are expensive but they last a REALLY long time and can help better frame your face. Remember to match your belt with your shoes, so black belt, black shoes. If you use a bag, same thing. Foot wear should really be upgraded from tennis shoes. Boat shoes, casual oxfords, and moccasins can really bring an outfit together.

Have fun with the clothes you wear, fashion doesn't make you gay it makes you open, diverse and shows your expression. Ladies love a well dressed guy and fashionable people ( though not always true.) Ok to start off, I know how to make a ponytail, but it just sits there so floppy and just boring!! If you've played the last of us, and youve seen Ellie's ponytail? I want something like that, its just that anytime I do that gravity is like "hahaha no cool ponytail for you"!! If you dont know who ellie is just google her, and buy the last of us omg. For starters, if your hair is greasy, you should really wash it, it's unhealthy and doesn't look very nice.

And if you can't do a ponytail properly, search up how on YouTube, it's easier than reading instructions. If your hair is thick, you can get it layered for slightly thinner and lighter hair, it'll also be easier with making a ponytail. If you don't have bangs, you could get some choppy bangs to add effect to your ponytails, even though Ellie doesn't have any. But if you want to cut bangs, go to a hair stylist for proper looking bangs. I once tried cutting my own bangs, it was bad. Very uneven and short, had to hide it with a headband for weeks before it was finally long enough to get it trimmed and looking normal.

Ellie's hairstyle is actually my hairstyle. But if you want her bangs, go to a hair stylist with a picture of her hair and ask them to cut it like hers. If they do it short enough, it will automatically come out of the ponytail.

Good luck! Also when putting your hair in a ponytail, run your free hand through it to get it nice and tight.

Try using more natural, organic shampoos like Agave, Alterna, Bumble and Bumble; which can all be found at Sephora. I personally dont like the cheap shampoos like White Rain, Vo5, aussie, etc because they just don't make hair look that great. if 25 dollar shampoo and conditioner is out of the question, try herbal essences! They seem to be the best drugstore shampoo at the best price.

Also, using green colored shampoo and conditioner promote more shine vs. any other color. Also, with conditioner, DONT USE IT ON YOUR ROOTS. this is rule #1 because roots are wear oil is produced, and it will make your hair very greasy! Use only a dime size of conditioner, and work it toward the ends. This also helps with maintaining split ends. If you have thicker hair, about a nickel size will suffice, but nothing more!

Dry shampoo's are AMAZING! they are like hairspray, but make your hair shiny! Sephora has some of the best dry shampoo's but CVS, Walgreen's, Target, might have a few bottles.

Using less products on your hair like hairspray and gel will also keep it looking healthy and clean. And also, go a day or 2 without using a curling iron, flat iron, blow dryer, because these tools destroy hair :(

Putting your hair in braids at night after washing it is a great option because it's a time saver and makes your hair have gorgeous, beachy waves! To maintain these waves, apply gel or mousse!

Wash your hair every other day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and so on) Avoid overdrying as this makes your hair brittle and dry! Use a cool setting and brush throughly.
