I have been searching for a natural and permanent hair removal oils/creams with no side effects. I came across a new product becoming popular in Europe which is 'Hairycure' oil.

In the beauty industry, there is no industry-agreed meaning for terms like 'organic' or 'natural'. Unlike the food industry, these terms are not regulated for cosmetics which means companies can use these terms pretty freely.
Also, products like shampoo, conditioner and body wash are mostly made of water so therefore are mostly natural (because water is natural, right?). So if a shampoo is 90% water, then a company can simply claim "90% organic or natural" and be telling the truth. Certainly, this isn't in the spirit of what people believe organic to mean, but it is within the law.

Can dying your hair black take away your original hair color?

I know bleach would but im not sure about black. I am a brunette if it makes a difference i dont have light hair that will easily be altered. I have nice red high lights and i like my natural color. I only want to go black for a little while. I see those comb in perfect 10 hair color thing and its not suppose to take away your original color. Am i right or wrong? Advise on products? well, if you use revelon anti-ammonia..its accually only $2.99 at walmart, it will not take away your color. you can always grow it back out, or dye it back. because it doesnt have ammonia it will not fry your hair, neither will it kill your color. it doesnt fade unless you get a redish color. thats the only color that fades and washes out. but it is permanent. if u do not want permanent...you can go into hot topic stores and get a semi or demi- permanent black. easy as that.

Yes, I know Goldwell Elumen is a professional Salon hair color product. But some of us can't afford to go to salon's but you can buy these products online so I thought I'd give it a try. I will also try it on one hair strand before doing it on all of my hair of course.

So you basically want a pixie cut that can be styled kind of edgy? With your face shape I would say that the style would suit you as long as you style it.
I would just be upfront with her and say something like, "I want a pixie cut." "I want shorter hair." "It's just hair, so it will grow back."
If your mom is anti-anime, then I wouldn't mention how you want to style it like anime hair.

If your hair is a foot or so long then you could donate it to locks of love.

Honestly, it could look very emo (which is OK) or you could really step up a notch and make it the highest of hair fashion.

but in say, Indianapolis, IN, you might get a top colourist for $80-125. Location, experience, complexity all go into the pricing - as well as product - there are wonderful formulations today with low ammonia/peroxide content that will reduce hair damage, and depending on your hair, you might benefit greatly from one of them.

I am a woman in my mid 50's. I have colored my hair for years to cover the gray hair. I want to grow off the chemical treated hair dye that has covered the gray. There is this problem of the ugly grow out look of a scunk line, and just continues to become worse in time. I have heard of hair dyes over the counter that you can use to cover the gray as the permanent dye is growing off. This is hard to believe though. I would like some feedback on products I should use, to help my journey of having my natural hair color back to normal. I purchased a product call .... Loreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss, with no ammonia and says it washes out in 28 shampoos. I am asking is this to good to be true. Does it wash out to your natural gray. Please help me decide... I want to look good as I try to accomplish this task. I will be waitng for your answers. Another tip; I have med brown dyed hair at the moment by professionals.I have tried several salons to help, with no luck. They seem to do what they want to do and my hair never comes out the same each time. I can be going to the same hair sylist; the results is never the same. Either they don't understand what I am trying to accomplish, or they think I will look better their way. Can I go to a Light Brown with this product from Loreal? And does it wash out as they say in 28 shampoos?

I have a job interview in a clothes shop and was wondering what current fashion trends are.

I don't follow women's fashion but I can provide the guys' trends for fall 2012 through summer 2013, or at least how they're predicted to be. This is according to major runway shows in Europe, so trends in American stores or unique shops will vary.

Some general trends: Slim pants/jeans (sometimes skinny), rolled up once or twice, JACKETS, hairstyles that are short on the sides/back and styled on top, accessories like watches and bracelets always make you look more stylish

Fall 2012 has some very light blues and oranges leftover from summer 2012 but they're only thrown in. Mainly, it's getting darker with blacks and grays, occasionally an obscure white or yellow dominated outfit. "A play on fabric" as Armani calls it is trendy, mixing different patterns and fabrics that you wouldn't normally match, as long as they go together in color. Outfits should stay simple and sleek though.

Winter 2012-13 is best described as "dark" and sometimes "tribal" with almost all black, brown and gray on jackets, pants and shoes/belts. Fabric play still revealant: For example, charcoal sweater with leather jacket throw-over.

Spring/summer 2013 should be sleek and include Mediterranean colors not only in just clothes but especially accessories. Like turquoise belts/shoes, bags and shirt accents. "Easter" colors is a good way to put it also. The base colors are blue and green.

Hmm... I actually think this is kind of a tough question!

I would suggest fun, trendy cloths for her, that fit well and slim her down a bit. Boutiques like H&M and Forever21 and Carlotte Russe have great clothes, rather Japanese inspiered. (she could even go online for some great online Japanese fashion stores!)

Make up: subtle, fresh colors is the way to go. Over done will weigh her down and be completely opposit to want she wants. I think liquid eye liner is a great option.

Hair: Soft shades of light to dark brown will be warm and inviting. I think a soft bouncy hairstyle, with face framing layers and even bangs, for a Japanese inspiered look would be a nice touch :) If her hair is short, perhaps a bob.

Also, she should get her nails done... many Japanese girls love thir nails.

If you want cheap you may want to consider doing it yourself. My daughter is a stylist in Danville, and I'm an Esthetician at a salon in Walnut Creek. Although they are both higher end salons the prices are still prettycomparablee - I'd say a range from $60 to $100 depending on exactly what you want and how much hair you have. Clairol, Revlon, Loreal all under $20. The instruction are pretty explicit, ALL the products you need are boxed together - from color to gloves, and a phone number for any questions or problems. You also have the option of how permanent you want the color to be. if you want funky highlights, regular highlight,low-lightss, hot pink, blue, purple etc. Just be sure to read the directions and do exactly what they say. The next time you do-it-yourself you'll have an idea of changes you want to make and how much you can play. Good Luck!

You've pretty much answered your own question. You should do whatever makes you happy, not conform to someone else's idea of what you should look like. If he doesn't like it, his problem, NOT yours!

If you change your hairstyle just for him, what's next? He may start telling you to change your makeup, your style of dress, etc.. You'll most likely be in his control living for his happiness instead of yours.

If he can't accept you as you are, then it's time to move on and date a guy who likes you for the whole package.

I am looking to grow my hair out some but not really long. The last haircut I got was a complete buzz cut down to my scalp where I was almost bald. I guess you could call it a military style haircut, and I got that at the beginning of July. Now my hair is about an inch long and I am looking to grow it out some. Your July haircut is known as a butch. When the hair is cut shorter than 1/4" on top, a butch that short is also known as a burr. A butch fully suits relatively few guys. In contrast, a good barber can design one of the short pomp(pompadour) styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- to fully suit almost any young guy's head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features. If your hair is now about an inch long then it is growing at the average rate of 1/8" per week or maybe a little faster depending on how short your hair was actually cut and how early in the month of July. One inch is long enough at the front hairline for a medium crew cut. Getting a crew cut now and then going for a slightly longer short haircut every three weeks or so will allow you to see how well you suit a variety of short styles and will not really lengthen the time it takes for your hair to grow to a guy's regular taper cut style with about three inches on top which is what I assume you mean by "but not really long." Here is how I grow out a short crew cut or flat top crew cut:

A shaved head is a good option for guys with thinning hair or for any man with a great looking head who wants to make a bold statement. Before attempting to shave your head for the first time, I strongly recommend consulting your barber or stylist who can help determine if the style will work well with your face and head shape and show you how to shave your head.

If this is a first time shave for you, I suggest that you take the plunge at the beginning of the weekend or start of a vacation. This will give you time to get used to your dramatically new look and allow you to get some color on your scalp before you reveal your new style to friends and coworkers.

The three steps below will help you get the best result possible. Allow a good half hour for the first shave. After a few days of shaving, you should have the routine down to five minutes or less.

Step 1: Prep.
Always shave your head at the end of a warm shower which softens the hair, cleans the skin and open the pores. During showering, rub a soapy wash cloth with slight pressure against the growth pattern of the hair to lift the hair for easier shaving. Next, apply a good shave cream and allow to stand for a few minutes to further soften the hair. Stay away from gels or products which contain menthol, which will close the pores and desensitize the skin. You'll want to be able to feel the razor glide over your scalp. Never skimp on preparation. This is vital to a good shave.

Note: If this is your first time shaving your head, use a hair clipper with no guard to remove as much hair as possible and exfoliate the scalp with a facial scrub prior to shaving.

Step 2: Shave.
It is helpful to have a hand mirror available so you can check your work from all angles. You don't want to miss anything. It's also important to shave in a room with bright lighting.

Use a clean, sharp razor (a three-blade razor works best) and start by shaving with the grain (the direction the hair grows). This will help minimize cuts, irritation, and ingrown hairs. Glide the razor gently down the sides and back and from back to front on top. Avoid applying pressure, rinse the razor often, and take it slow. If this is your first time, do not shave against the grain for a few weeks to give your scalp time to adjust to being shaved.

After completing the shave, apply a small amount of lather to your hands and rub your entire head, checking for rough spots that need to be re-shaved. Pay special attention to the areas behind the ears and the back of the neck. If you cut yourself, apply a moist alum block to stop the bleeding. Follow the shave with a splash of cool water to close the pores.

Step 3: Repair and Protect.
After shaving, gently pat the head dry with a soft cloth and apply a good aftershave balm. I recommend the use of products that are free of alcohol which can cause unnecessary drying of the skin. The right aftershave balm will help promote quicker healing and moisturize the skin. Before going out in the sun, apply a light sunscreen to prevent burning.

Shaving your head daily or every other day will make it easier to maintain the results and keep you looking fresh. Once you and your friends and coworkers adjust to your new look, you'll find a bald head will set you apart from the pack.

Can I lighten my hair at home with regular hair color or do I have to bleach it first?

You will need to bleach it.

There is no way to lighten hair without bleach.

But if you have no hairdye in your hair you won't have to leave the bleach in for that long.

Just do an all over bleaching and then dye your hair the light brown color.

I know that I'm able to tan, as I have done so in the past when I was a kid. Like everyone, my skin tone would fluctuate based on the time of year and how much I went outside. I lived in Houston and some summers I was outside quite a bit (I swam, played with friends, etc), so consequently I had a nice tan. Other years I would stay inside more often playing video games. After I turned 13 this was the case more often. Between ages 13 and 18 I only achieved a tan of some sorts a couple of times. The rest of the time I was either pale (will get to my skin type in a second) or had a little color.

Family history if you think it's necessary, if not skip down to the background on myself: My dad has light brown hair and was able to tan, but it took him a while. He has a natural red hue to his skin and his side of the family isn't know for being tan. He's the only one on his immediate side of his family that has a tan and can tan. It just takes him a while. During his time in Vietnam (he did two tours over there) he was very tan, and stayed that way for a while (when not over on a tour he lived in San Diego). His family also has freckles. He doesn't have any on his face anymore (not since he was a kid), but he has them on his arms etc. I had a few freckles (not man) when I was a kid, but not anymore. I have freckles nowhere else.

My mom's the tan side. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and as you can imagine, can tan well although she doesn't stay out long enough anymore to tan. Her dad was very tan and would get darker just walking outside to get the paper. The rest of her family has been able to achieve a tan. She has six brothers and sister with varying traits. Most have blue eyes (two don't), and 2/3 of them have brown hair. The other 1/3 have blonde hair.

Background on myself: My natural skin color (with no sun whatsoever) I would place at about an 11, maybe 12. My hair color is medium brown, maybe a bit darker, and my eye color is blue. I've only had freckles when I was a kid, and only a few. I no longer have them. From my experience when I was younger (and this may be everyone), once I get a base tan I can tan easily without burning. One summer we went to Phoenix, Arizona. I went with a base tan and 3 days later I had a really nice tan.

As far as burning goes, I was in Hawaii last April with just a little bit of color (just enough to not make me look ghastly pale, but still light colored) and it took me about 45 minutes without any sunscreen to get a little burned. I hardly burned, though, it didn't bother me. However, my feet got burned really bad after going out on a boat for 4 hours without any socks or shoes on.

Anyways, my question is how often should I tan outside, what type of sunscreen should I use? Where I live now the sun usually isn't that intense (I live in Tennessee now). I can lay out on my roof for about an hour with no sunscreen on and not get burned. It gets in the mid 60's in March (although cold spells can happen), so I plan to start laying outside then. By April I'll be golden and it will be warm enough to go outside whenever. Also, my job now causes me to take frequent trips outside. During a slow day I may spend 1-2 hours outside. During a fast day I can spend up to 5-6 hours outside. I have to wear a shirt, but I can wear shorts. So my calves, face, neck, and arms will get a little more sun during that time.

So, how long should I tan outside for, how often, and how long would you estimate it would take to establish a base tan. I'd like to get as tan as possible because I'm moving to California late in the summer. So I essentially have from March to the first day of August to tan.

Tanning comes & go, unless you do them everyday 24/7. But in the end the only thing you'll benefit is either moles, freckles, skin tags or discolorations from sunscreens, lotions, etc. and the more you do, the more they get larger, darker & bumpier, even skin diseases like Bullous Pemphegoid or Discoid Lupus. Like exercising, your muscles will sag, when suddenly you stopped, same with getting a tan, they will fade. If you live in California, you'll be tanned by the end of the year maybe even SOONER.

Tanning, is a result for 'damaged skin' and no products can reverse you from skin cancer or damaged skin, may prevent you from pre-mature aging, but that's part of the billion dollar beauty industry. To get super than you will have to be tanning for @ least 60 years, George Hamilton & Tom Jones are two examples, who ARE super tan! Google them.

Melanoma is the leading cause of death from skin disease. An estimated 76,259 new cases of skin cancer will be reported particularly among women in their 20's & 30's, and that's 6,020 more than 2011, people died from the disease, according to the National Cancer Institute. Two million people are diagnosed with skin cancer in the US each year, according to the EPA's Sun-Wise Program. That's more than breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer cases combine! Now however, a recently published study suggests that those people with ginger hair and fair complexions face a much higher risk of developing dead skin cancer even if they are completely protected. Nov 2nd, 2012.

BTW: Lotions does not protect you from nasty, painful burns. Lotions does not protect you from skin cancer. Lotions does not protect you from skin diseases. Lotions does not protect you from discolorations - permanently. And lotions does not protect you from skin tags, freckles, moles, they will only get larger, darker, and bumpier as they are exposed from UV.

I've been protecting myself from the sun since age 9, but no matter, I got Discoid Lupus. Google that one. It was like someone punched my chin and it gave a purplish mark. It took 12 years for that to fade, so now I'm using a wide brim hat or umbrella for protection. Gene Simmons & Shannon both have been seen hold an umbrella during an event. They were invented before beauty products, for a reason. Google also Bullous Pemphegoid, photos, another skin disorder.

What kind of hair (style, color), makeup, perfume, clothes, etc do guys like the most??? Also, what would make you notice a girl if you never really have before? Reaaaally need help here :/
