What's a place in San Francisco that you can get your hair straightened professionally but still have a good price?

When I lived in San Francisco I went to Hair Play on Church Street. It's a fun atmosphere and they do a good job with cuts and color.. The website says a new relax is $100+ (probably depending on the length of hair).. I am not sure if that is too pricey or not. Good luck!

My hair has recently been getting greasier faster and I now have dandruff what can I do?

I recently moved (about 3 months ago) from a generally warmer climate (San Diego) to a much colder climate (San Francisco) and I've noticed that I have developed mild dandruff and my hair has been getting greasy after just one day of not washing it.
Before I had never had dandruff and my hair only got mildly greasy until around the 4th day of not washing it.
I'm sure the change has something to do with the weather, but I don't know how to manage/fix it.
Other facts about my hair: I shower in very hot water, it's up in a bun or pony tail about %80 of the time, the bottom half of my hair is bleached and colored (not near my roots at all), and I use Joico color protector shampoo and conditioner.
Please any advice is welome because I hate this!

Use mild shampoo and no medicated shampoo, you can also wash your hair everyday- it do works,you ca have a try

What boy hair styles hide or look good with cowlicks?

I am a 16 year old boy with a cowlick on the front left side on my face that I have had forever. I don't like my cowlick but my older sister says that girls will think it's cute, so i'm not sure if i should get a hair style that hides it, or goes with it. What i am looking for is a hair style that is from short to medium and that doesn't make me look emo.

The top of your hair currently looks flat. I think you should grow out the front a bit. Your cowlick would probably work well with a quiff.

1. Shampoo and condition your hair
2. Towel dry until your hair is flexible
3. Blow dry your hair up
4. Take a dime size of wax and rub it between your hands
5. Work the wax throughout your hair
6. pull the front of your hair up and over to the side
7. Use hairspray for extra hold

Does anyone have naturally very dark hair and you keep it colored very light?

I have dark brown hair, pale skin and green eyes. I think my hair would look better lighter. But I am afraid of frying my hair. Do any of you keep your dark hair colored light and if so how do you keep it in good condition? I do not want to deal with split ends and fried looking hair.
If you use a box hair dye, which color and brand do you use on your dark hair and how well does it work?

My natural color is pretty dark and I keep mine blonde.What you want to do is not bleach it all at once.You need to go into it gradually so the least amount of damage possible is done.I've been going to my stylist for 2 years and everytime I go we do foils (highlights basically).Each time she does a greater amount of hair so now just the bottom part of my hair is still dark and you can't see it unless I have it up.The best thing to do when your hair is really dark naturally is to do highlights because it won't be as noticeable when it grows out.Another plus to doing foils is you can go under the hairdryer while they're on which speeds up the process.The longer the bleach is on your hair the more damage is done.You can't completely avoid doing damage to your hair.Anything unnatural you do to it will harm it in some way.But to keep it looking nice you can do a weekly deep conditioning treatment to keep it soft and moisturized.

You do not want to attempt to lighten your hair yourself at home from a box.It will most likely turn orange because the peroxide in the boxed dyes aren't as strong and need to be left on longer for them to actually work.You will probably end up destroying your hair.You need to have it professionally done and if you can't afford that I suggest leaving it alone.You'll regret doing it yourself in the long run.

What color of top should I choose- I have green eyes, auburn hair and light skin.?

I don't really know if there's such a thing, but is it possible some colors of clothing look best on people based on their eye, skin and hair color? I have very light skin with pink undertones, dark green eyes and auburn hair. I'm wanting to buy some basic tops tomorrow, but am not sure what colors might look best on me. I like richer colors, like olive and burgundy and darker purples. Any suggestions on what might compliment my features?

TurndYou have very pretty attributes. Black is your best bet. It will make your features stand out. Bright green will compliment your eyes but will slightly clash with your hair. Yellow would be a safe bet but it will draw attention away from your eyes and make your hair stand out more. Blue would work very well, especially a jean top. Stay away from bright red. j/k use gel and start making it stand up. Do it religously and it will stay that way
