fairy tale
hi all i like to change my hair style from time to time and now i wanna change it, (i worn the bob hair style at this time) and i want something that is trendy, i'm a 20 y girl, i have an oval face, and what about highlights? i have a white skin and hazel-green eyed, black hair....
Answer
Highlights are very trendy right now and they are a great way to update your look. I like the brand, Ion Color Brilliance, which is sold at Sally Beauty Supply. It is inexpensive and works as well or better than the drugstore brands, though their colors run darker than their names. So if you have black hair, you might need to use "dark blonde" or "medium blonde" to get light brown highlights. I prefer highlights that are natural looking, only a shade or two lighter than your natural hair color. You can test the colors by putting most of your hair up in a bun and wrapping a shower cap and hair elastics around it. Just leave some of the lower locks of hair (that are usually covered by the rest of your hair) exposed. That way if the color doesn't turn out right, it will be hidden by the rest of your hair. Highlight a few of those lower locks, shower (with the shower cap still on), and then when your hair dries you can see if you like the color. If you like it, you can then highlight the rest of your hair. Good luck!
