I just used a kit at home bleach thing, did it and the colour is great!
BUT my hair is noticeably less smooth and shiny and it has a lot more fly aways near my part.
How do I condition/mosturize my hair now?
Answer
You have fly aways because your hair is dry.
Causes for dry hair:
The sun is very damaging & drying, even get sunburn, so does the hair.
Washing in hot water, if it's bad for baby skin, so does the hair.
Too many shampoos per week, 2x is enough.
Alcohol products, hair sprays or gel containing alcohol, very drying.
Chemicals, perming, hair dyeing, chlorine.
Hair straightening tools or curling tools, even with hair protectant sprays or lotions, does not protect hair 100%.
Hair dryer, I use it but only for 5 mins per wash, per week, longer than, too drying.
Sun-exposure can also cause dryness of the skin, while chlorine and other chemicals in the water deplete moisture. Chlorine is also known to cause rashes, while one can pick up other skin conditions like a fungus infection from swimming pools.
Chlorine strips the hair of oils and makes it dry, tangled, matted and rough. Chlorine also affects the cuticles and makes the hair dull. The cuticle is the outermost layer of the hair and contributes to its shine. Repeated exposure to chlorine can make the hair brittle, leading to problems like split-ends and hair breakage.
Washing less often, builds the natural oil your hair needs, to get them smoother, shinier, silkier, softer. Man-made products are just temporary, until you wash them again, and at the same time washing off the natural oil your hair NEEDS. Hair products just absorb on your hair if they're dry, like a sponge.
Jessica Simpson have figured it out, she said she wash her hair every week. She used to abuse her hair, then start selling hair extensions because her hair starting falling from all the chemicals, but she woke up and found out how to keep her hair healthy AGAIN.
The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to 'abuse'. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.
After you wash your hair (hopefully less than usual), use a towel to dry your hair. If it's long like mine, use two towels to absorb most of the water. Blow dry for 5 mins, or air dry by doing some work done, get online, stand by the heater until it's done, then blow dry concentrating @ the roots. When it's 90% dried, brush your hair smooth. Finger comb if it's wavy or curly or use a wide tooth comb.
Reasons why I don't have fly aways or static:
1. I stand on a rug that's made of nylon, on top of linoleum or ceramic tiles.
2. I use Conair nylon brush, (it will say: will reduce static). I've had that for several years now. I found another one today, it's gel grips and it's orange or pink, they also come in green, with IONS
3. I also don't use conditioner on my hair, so it's not that . . . . but using the brush & standing on the rug will prevent less static.
4. If nothing works, wet your hands and rub to your hair while you style it. This will add moisture to your hair.

Answer
I get tons of compliments with my 4 natural colors, thank you!
Blondes vs. Brunettes.
Researchers/some guy in his basement working for Superdrug surveyed 1,000 men, determining that 54 percent of them would choose a brunette to be their wife. A minority 16 percent preferred blonde hair, while 30 percent of participants shrugged their shoulders and asked when they would have access to the free doughnut holes they were promised when they signed up for the study (the answer, sadly, was never).
Other useless information gleaned from this researcher: men think women with brown hair take better care of their appearance, make better cooks.

. . . .
Go lighter if you want to look older than your mom.
My church friend went blonde, or ash blonde, who knows, her orig. hair color was black, now she's older looking than her mom - 56. It didn't even go with her complexion, and she's hating every minute of it.
She's in her 30's. If you're getting bored with your hair, try to teach yourself to style your hair so you can be more unique. I can do mine 7 different ways a week, takes 2-10 mins. I've posted 60 photos in 25 months. If I can do it, so can you!
Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.
Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨
Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11
The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.
Google: A 38-year old mother left in a coma after using hair dye. SHE DYED HER HAIR MANY TIMES BEFORE, USING THE SAME BRAND. The British woman who went into coma after a reaction to hair dye has died after a year. Updated 11-25-12. The woman suffered a heart failure, struggled for breath and became unconsciousness. Her family blamed paraphenylenediamine, a chemical found in hair colour. Her family has now called for paraphenylenediamine to be banned from home dye kits. In 2000, a 38-year-old Indian-origin woman from Birmingham, Narinder Devi, died after an allergic reaction to hair dye.

When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.
