most popular hairstyle 2012 image
Me
I'm writing about about hair dyeing. Like, who made it popular and how, where did it get more popular, what artists are known for doing it a lot, what type of people did it (like emo, scene, etc). When did it get popular? what did people think about it? Mostly everything please x
Interesting facts too!
Answer
Colourful hair mostly got extremely popular When scene or $c3n3 got popular.
It looks like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmKDJXNLg4I
people often found in entertaining to add cool colours to this hairstyle.
girls most commonly from the ages of 13-17 who go through those kinds
of hairstyles call it their "$c3n3 phase".
scene has been going on for a really long time but kind of started in 2008, failed
by summer of 2009 then started coming back in fall of 2010.
It partially slowed down then came back in 2012.
Its a colourful emo style that spread wildly over myspace!
Dying your hair unnatural colors was frowned upon by past generations. The younger generation now is known to be very rebelious and started this trend. Some clame its a way of people "begging for attention" Others think its all part of a "rock or punk theme". Both could be true in different cases. There are many reasons for dying your hair unnatural colours such as stepping out of the crowd, to stand out, rebel, show their true colors, to cope, to support someone of something, self confidence issues, or remembrance.
Manic Panic is one of the most popular hair coloring products.
In 2004, MTV mentioned Manic Panic in a television documentary, crediting them for beginning what would become a trend of men and women wearing different hair colors in the 2000s.
Victoriandustrial artist Emilie Autumn uses Manic Panic hair-dye. Marilyn Manson also uses many Manic Panic products
Hope this helps!

Now i know it's considered emo but i'm not nor scene or any of that i'm wondering what do people actually think of people having this hairstyle?
Answer
I've worked in fashion for a number of years and this hairstyle was "in" starting all the way back in 2006 got really popular in 2009-2012 and now is kind of fizzling out everywhere except some stereo groups in japan and Asia which it's still pretty big and that are still trying to keep it going.
To me its an OK hairstyle, turns heads but not always for the right reasons. It's difficult to keep that shape so when some girls do get it right it doesn't stay like that for long and they are tempted to cut it themselves turning it into some awful Edward scissor hands hack-job.
On another note it hides a a lot of girls faces making them un-approachable. It hides their beauty. It shows little confidence when you hide behind your hair. Then again it can be cute if accesorised well and you don't wear so much eye-liner.
