best hair color 2012 fall image
Miss Aweso
So 1 strand of my hair is half silver/grey and the other half is dark brown/black which is my normal hair colour. I'm 13 and a half. Some people say causes of premature greying are trauma and stress. I had knee dislocation 2 months ago when I fell hard, is it because of that? Have any of you or anyone you know had a strands of grey hair in their teens or early adulthood? What should I do to prevent it? I'm not allowed to colour my hair so any homemade natural remedies?

The little boy down the street from me was born with gray bangs, as he got older to his teens, they became the rest of the color on his hair. I thought his mom was dyeing his hair, but they weren't. Their child's health was otherwise good, and there wasn't any more graying next several years or decades to come. If a child suddenly starts graying like about 4, pediatrician can advise the parents whether blood tests or an evaluation by a dermatologist or other specialist might be helpful to determine a potential cause for the child's gray hair.

Initially, hair is white. The cells in our hair follicles called âMelanocytesâ generate pigments the main one being Melanin. This gives our hair its âColorâ.
In general, the more melanin present, the darker the hair color; the less melanin, the lighter the hair color.
When these Melanocytes stop producing the pigment the result is a transparent hair. The transparent hair against your healthier darker hair gives the appearance of Gray hair. In reality the hair is not Gray but transparent.
Harvard scientists propose that a failure of melanocyte stem cells (MSC) to maintain the production of melanocytes could cause the graying of hair.
So, although stress is associated with many medical problems, there is no evidence that it can cause a personâs hair to turn white overnight.
DYK: there are 15 shades of colors for blond hair? Red has about 5-7 shades of colors in them. But people don't know that, because they're always covering their hair with hair dyes.

As Grazia Daily reported last week, Kelly Osbourne is already a championer of the trend, despite her mother's naysaying. She took to the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday with a silvery 'do' Going grey is about being individual, not about following a trend,' Luke Hersheson, backstage hair aficionado, told Grazia Daily. 'Youâre creating a character and you want to stand out. Itâs not actually a flattering colour for your skin tone so itâs better to opt for a silvery tone.

If i use semi permanent light ash brown dye over permanently dyed red hair will it cover it up?
jaqueline
I've been dying my hair red for about a year now the last time i dyed my hair i used a permanent color i really don't want red hair anymore and i know in order to take the red out i need to use an ash color so i bought kiss express color k82 light ash brown semi-permanent shiny & vivid hair color because it is close to my natural color which is what i want back my question is if u use this semi permanent will it cover up the red or should i bleech and tone my hair first and then use the semi permanent dye i bought and if so will it come out the light brown color i want or will it look lighter.
Answer
Adding one layer of hair dye on top of another (semi, demi, or permanent) it just takes longer to get to your natural color, or even if it cover up the old dye, but what was there before, stays there. The semi will wash off, the permanent still there, months from now. Think, it's like adding another coat of Crayola on top of another, on top of your white paper, it only GETS DARKER & DARKER, it doesn't work that way if you're trying to go lighter.
Not only that, chemicals Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11
The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

The British woman who went into coma after a reaction to hair dye has died after a year. Updated 11-25-12. The woman suffered a heart failure, struggled for breath and became unconsciousness. Her family blamed paraphenylenediamine, a chemical found in hair colour. Her family has now called for paraphenylenediamine to be banned from home dye kits.
