Q. Okay so what are the hairstyles that best suits me if I have a square face with a big forehead and a long boring straight hair. (My hair is naturally curly and it's frizzy due to constant rebonding) And can I have bangs or side swept fringes? I know It shouldn't be done by girls with curly hair but I do get my hair get rebond in like every six months. So..

Good hairstyles for girls with square faces?
Q. I have a realllllly square face! My jaw is pretty prominent. Right now my hair is layered and about 6-7 inches past my shoulders. It's light brown. I was considering bangs...what would look better? Straight across or sideswept? Pictures are appreciated-as well as other styles.
Answer
I have in front of me a magazine called InStyle Makeover 2010:
Square - mane objective "The primary goal here is to soften your angular jaw and forehead," says Garren master hairstylist. "You can essentially erase sharp edges with tapered layers and a flirty fringe."
Short: The cut: a short Louise Brooks-type bob with heavy slanted bangs.
Why it works: Women with this face shape can pull off Selma Blair's bob, who had worked with the actress. "It brings the focus higher & puts the emphasis on your cheekbones, not your jaw," A longer, chin-length bob would only "square" the face.
The thick and thin of it: Dense strands could puff out at this length.
Medium: The cut: Shoulder-length with light layers all around that start a few inches above the ends.
Why it works: Feathery layers (which can be achieved with a razor) like Salma Hayek's) camouflage a strong chin. "The airy ends prevent the eye from noticing any sharp corners" He recommends parting at the side for an asymmetrical effects, which also offsets squareness.
The thick and thin of it: The layers pump up any hair type.
Long: The cut: Collarbone-skimming strands with diagonal bangs that cut across the cheekbones.
Why it works: Long locks are flattering, but you want to avoid a "simplistic" look with blunt ends." There's noting ho-hum or harsh about Carmen Diaz's breezy cut. The long slash of bangs and light scattering of layers "get rid of angles and soften the entire face, top to bottom."
The thick & thin of it: Keep layers to a minimum if your strands are fine.
