Answer
The first thing you need to do is a good head shot, black and white 8" x 10".
In your resume:
I. Name and Last name, address phone and e mail address.
II. Skin Color
Weight
height
body type
III. Performance Experience You need to start with the most recent you've have made. Then follow the chronology order. Write there only the important things. Agents don't like to read long resumes.
IV. Master Classes, Seminars, Trainings etc.
V Prizes and honors (If you have received) Could be Scholarships.
VI. Studies (If you have formal studies example: BA degree in musical Theater from UCLA)
VII. Skills (Those skills you can apply in your acting career. Example: 4 years of Ballet, 12 years of Classical Piano etc.
Your resume should be only One Page, Unless you have a lot of experience like important roles, commercials, TV etc.
Go to Hollywood, there is a big book store only for actors and actress. They sell a list of agents addresses, phone numbers and e mails. That cost like $20.00
Other choice is trying to start making movies as an extra, and ask for auditions.
Some agents are busy trying to push other artists that they consider have more potential. Be aware of this. If you want to go far in your career, find someone big.
Hope this help.

Any good place to purchase Cosplay/Anime materials around Southern California?
houounotot
A group of friends and myself are trying to make costumes for Anime Expo 2009. Does anyone know where we can buy some stuff like akatsuki red cloud patterns or wigs or ninja headbands from naruto. Any suggestions around Los Angeles or Orange County is helpful. Thanks!

Oh boy! You're cutting it close...AX09 is only days away! ;)
I usually purchase all of my cosplay needs online (eBay, etc.), so I'm not sure where you'd be able to find all the things you mentioned around LA. I'll try to give you a few suggestions though. Try JoAnn's fabric stores for the material, and if you can't find exactly what you need, try purchasing plain fabric of the correct color and paint the design on by hand. As for wigs, there are many costume shops around LA and the OC. Do a search for these shops online and be sure to call ahead so you don't waste time looking for things they might not stock.
Here's a place you might try:
Halloween Castle
(323) 268-8720
3674 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90063
Another good place is Anime Jungle:

(213) 621-1661
319 E 2nd St #103
LA CA 90012
If you have no luck finding wigs, you can always use temporary hair dye instead. Manic Panic is a good quality dye and can be found in most big chain pharmacies such as Rite Aid or Walgreen's. Also check your local beauty supply store, which would likely have a larger color selection.
Hope this helps...but you better hurry! AX will soon be here!
