Trendy hairstyle for curly hair?

LouLou

My hair basically looks like my avatar. About 5" past my shoulders, long layers. I've had this style for like 8 years. I'd really like a change but everytime I look online, the styles are very similar to what I have now. My curls are loose though too, more wavy, but coarse. Any ideas or know of any good websites. Thanx!

Answer
I have the exact same hair that you described.
I can't really find any hairstyles that suit me unless I got to a hair salon and they do my hair for me.
Other hairstyles require to blow dry, curl or straighten hair which is to damage for your hair so I just scrunch my hair and let it air dry, when I go out or when its a special occasion THEN I switch it up.

You can do all kinds of hairstyles GIRL!
Get a curling iron or a straightening iron.....you can do spirl curls, you can flip your hair....you can get LOOSE curls.....you can put half your hair up and half your down......SO many!!

GOOD LUCK<3

what is a good hairstyle that will let me keep my LONG hair but give it style? ( young teen) something trendy.

My hair is thick, long, and pretty frizzy. I need a transformation...

Answer
if your hair is frizzy, straighten it.
you can get a straightener from walmart, target, online, and any beauty suppy shop. (sally's beauty supply is my favorite.)

if your parents will allow you, DYE YOUR HAIR. make it look natural! nothings better than a whole new color to go with your new straightened hair! if not, look into streaks, highlights, and maybe just a little color. (as in blue, green, ect.)

if your hair is thick, and your not happy with it, go to the salon, ask for just a quick thinning. they'll know what to do, and to make it 'edgy' but 'trendy' get a razor cut. it always looks great, maybe even get some layers? <3

do you have bangs? you can get long bangs, grow them out. you can get side-bangs, (which always look great!) just part it with a come to the side you prefer.

look online for cool pictures of styles you admire, show your parents, you dont wanna come home with something they dont like, they'll just keep bugging you until you fix/change it.

bring preference pictures with you to salons, they'll get a better view of what you want, remember, if they're doing something you dont like to your hair. immediatly say something! dont hold back and wait until the damage is done, i know from experience you'll just be sorry in the end.

stay away from any shampoo's that are greasy and not made for your type of hair. it will result in dandruff, greasy hair, and it will sometimes have a weird smell.

i hope this helped :)

I have short, thick hair. What kind of hairstyle looks good without having to use much hair gel?

Pretty self-explanatory. I recently posted pics of myself on here and everyone said to lose the hair gel, but I can't think of anything to do without using any hair gel. Otherwise it's just going to lay there. Long hair doesn't work for me, it grows a little in length and then just goes out and thick.

Answer
My sons both have thick hair. They stopped putting gel on their hair.
Too much work!

They just cut it themselves. They each live in different states, so they have their own clippers.

Been doing that since they're in HS. They're always trendy.

When my Younger one was in pre-school, he gelled and styled his hair like Elvis. So cute!

what is the best website to find trendy hairstyles for medium length hair?

i got my hair cut pretty short recently. now its grown to a little shorter than shoulder length. i want a style that's edgy and choppy but not too crazy. any help?

Answer
For the latest modern, great looking hairstyles, either velcro or plastic rollers work the best. Also, its better for your hair, the style lasts longer and you can style it in different ways. The options are endless. This yahoo group has tons of pictures of the latest hairstyles. It takes a little patience because there are so many pictures to view. It might be of help.
