Long hairstyles for 2011?

Q. Ok my hairs down to my shoulders and Im gonna get it done it mid January,so it will be about 2 inches longer (My hair grows reaaly fast) Its dark brown with light bits in it now, Im gonna make it dirty medium blonde at the salon. Is there any way/haircuts that can make it new/fresh and not take off more than 1/4 inch? BTW im a boy (yea,so what?Im growing it till it makes Rapunzels look like a mullet (;

What hairstyle should I go with?

Q. What type of hair do you think i should have? I would prefer short or medium length but if i would look good with long i would be fine with that. Im 5 10 and im 13 years old (8th grade) I have hazel eyes and auburn hair. I play lots of sports. Can u have a picture of the style u were thinking please.

Q. So right now my hair is long enough that it goes to the bottom of my shoulder blade. I've got a little bit of long bangs as well.
