Does anyone know where I can get a photo of that new trendy carmel colored hair?

clueless

I have an appointment to have my hair colored and would like to try Carmel, which I heard is very popular for the fall. I know that some celebrities, like Jessica Simpson, are going with it. Does anyone know where I could find an online picture to give to my colorist?

Thank you!

Hair ideas for school?

Actinglove

I start school in ten days, im gonna be a junior in highschool this year and I want something cool. Last year I dyed it auburn, and it was a little to red for me. My natural color is brown.. its not super dark, and not super light. Kind of like the girl in this pic

[I know the picture is really creepy lol]

Any way, I was thinking a darker brown, like this

But my friend dyed her hair dark brown so I dont want people to think im copying her, so what could I do that would look good, but would add something that she doesnt have? I dont want to be the same, I just want it to look pretty. I have Blue eyes btw if this makes any defference. lol

Answer
Have you tried ombre yet? It's trendy at the moment and it looks great with a summer tan. If you don't know what ombre is, it's a gradient effect on your hair going from your hair color (your natural or even died color) and have it fade to a lighter brown or blonde. I did it to my hair and I love it!

Heres pictures of ombre:

Brightening Brunettes and Brown Hair Highlights:

Brown hair can be brightened into a multitude of hues through various hair styling and coloring techniques, including:

Highlights: Adding honey, ginger, almond, russet, or other light highlights to brown hair adds texture and dimension to the hair. Be careful not to go too many shades lighter to avoid a streaked appearance, and note that darker brown shades do not show red highlights well.

Hair Accessories: Dark shades show off glittering hair pins, head bands, and decorative comes far better than lighter hair colors, particularly in updos and other formal hair styles.

Natural Lightening: Most brown shades will lighten naturally with exposure to sunlight, and they will develop red and blonde tints depending on each individualâs genetic makeup. To create natural highlights in unique patterns (and ensuring that more than the top layer of hair is lightened) wear braids or ponytails to expose different strands.

Despite popular fears that brown hair is boring, there are plenty of spicy ways to add a timeless look to your already beautiful brunette hair.

Enrich: Enrich your natural color with an allover shade a few shades richer. To add some contrast and interest, ask your stylist to weave in a few copper hair highlights.

Deepen: Go chocolate! If youâre natural brown borders on moussey, richen it up with a decadent shade of chocolate brown, which will add instant drama with little investment.

Shine: Shine or color glossing treatments adds sparkle and sheen to dark hair. A glossing treatment can be done in the salon for a bargain price and will instantly add some life to your locks.

Vanilla and Chocolate: Want the best of both worlds? Brunettes can still play with blonde without a large commitment. Ask your stylist to add a few strategically placed blonde hair highlights around your face to brighten your look while keeping the rest of your color natural.

Chunk: Although not as trendy as days gone past, statement chunking techniques on a dark base add instant pop and a low maintenance color choice for those seeking a dramatic and bold look. Experiment with shades of blue, blonde, or red chunks. Get creative!

Answer
Sry, no pics! Haha, but I just want to say that in that pic of you, you look like you are my age [8th grade]! Are you seriously in 10th?
Wow, anyways here are things you can do for color...
1] Get either honey, chestnut, light brown, or if you are daring, blonde highlights for your hair.
2] Or, dye it a little darker, but with a reddish tint [soooo pretty, that's what my friend did] or dye it a little blonder.

For your hair style...
1] Make your bangs swoop bangs. That's what I had a year ago, it's totally cuter then just hollywood bangs.
2] Get layers. I don't know if your hair is thick enough, but give it a try.
3] OR turn your bangs and hair into a BOB cut, I had that 2 years ago haha. Basically that means cutting you bangs across your forehead, and cutting the rest of it to a shoulder length. Very trendy.

So ya, good luck with everything, your hair right now is nice with good shine. Also, try using more mascara and eyeliner.

OK nvm I found pics...here they are...

Where I can I find cute hair color images?

polaris*ch

I'm getting my hair professionally dyed for free tomorrow because i am the model for a coloring class they are doing at the salon, and i can get my hair done however i want. i would like something cute and trendy and noticable but not too over the top because i have prom in a few weeks and want to still look classy. i have long dark hair {with dark eyebrows so i can't go super light!!} any ideas on what to do or where to look for pictures???

Answer
I love to go to the hair color isle at Target and compare the models skin tone and eyes to mine. Find what looks good on them and then you will know. The hair color companies spend a fortune to figre it out! I was blonde and then saw a photo of this girl with fair skin and hazel eyes with dark hair, I thought wow that really brings out her eyes and compliments her skin. I was scared but I did it. I love it.
I've had it for a long time. I really love dark hair so I don't now what to suggest. Maybe they could add some red to it? The main thing is that when you look at photos, be sure to notice the models skin and eyes
to think about if it will look good on you. Whatever you do, don't cut too much! Everyone always regrets it! Remeber that with every color change, you will need to adjust your make up bit too. Good luck!

If I want to become a male fashion model? Where do I start?

suhedreams

I would like to become a male model, high fashion/commercial/art etc
What should I do? Where do I start? What's the best way to start such a career? I think I have the model look, the body, and the photogenic edge. Anyone?

Answer
First of all, you'll need a portfolio. And not one full of photos taken by your friends. Go to a professional photographer who will know how to show you in the best possible light -- literally.

Your portfolio should include at least one head shot where you're looking right into the camera and at least one full-length shot, and it should contain both color and black-and-white photos. Wear fashionable clothes, but go for "timeless" over "trendy" -- plain t-shirts with jeans, plain oxford shirts with dark-colored dress pants -- styles that won't look "dated" a couple of months after the photos are taken.

You'll want at least two sets of 18-24 8"x10" photos -- one set for you to keep and the other(s) to bring with you when you visit modeling agencies, either by responding to ads or by looking them up in your local yellow pages (on- or off-line). Put them in nice (not necessarily expensive) photo albums (discount stores like Wal-Mart carry them), one photo per page. Put a printed (not handwritten) label on the inside cover with your name, contact info, and vital statistics (age, height, weight, hair color, eye color). It's a good idea to put a label on the back of each photo with just your name and phone number, too.

Another thing you can do is call or visit local art schools, and/or the art departments of any local colleges, to see if they need models (paid or volunteer). It's not glamorous work, but it will help you get used to some of the non-glamorous aspects of modeling -- long hours on your feet (or other parts of your body), holding poses, and being stared at by strangers.

Best of luck to you.

What to wear when having headshots taken?

Little_Tig

What should i wear for a photo shoot to get some nice headshots.

i am 15 years old, long wavy brown hair, blue eyes.

i was thinking of wearing jeans my chuck taylor converses and just a plainish t-shirt or top??

thanks :)

Answer
For headshots, what you wear on the bottom is irrelevant (it won't show). On top, wear a neutral-color collared shirt (polo or button-down, ideally solid black). Wearing some overly-trendy or casual top will date the photo in years to come, and most head-shots are intended to be timeless. Since the focus should be on your face, be sure not to wear too much makeup, (will almost never look good in a photo unless it was applied professionally), wear your hair down (straight or wavy, no funky styles), classy earrings are fine but avoid big dangly ones and necklaces, and generally they to stick with a classic natural look. Past that, the photographer will do the rest. If you have a big zit the day of or something, DO NOT wear gobs of concealer or foundation. It will be far easier and look much better in the end for the photographer to retouch a few blemishes than try to do something about cakey makeup.

Good luck, and remember a head shot isn't suppose to be an overly dramatic or artsy portrait. It is suppose to capture how you actually look. If you want to do some fun/artsy shots where you dress up and wear crazy makeup/hairstyles, then do an actual photoshoot where you discuss the desired results with the photographer beforehand. That way, he/she can prep to do some funky stuff. When you go in for a head shot, they expect to do a nice classic shot, and have their lighting and equiptment set up beforehand to do just that (which will look phenomenal if done by a true professional).
