I would personally recommend you curl or straighten your hair before applying a spray-on hair color. The harsh chemicals in the spray plus the application of heat may fry your hair. Will you get the same results if you style first and then apply the hair color? It would be much safer for the health of your hair for one night of fun!

For Halloween I'm going as the Joker, I want to temp spray my hair green since wigs never work for me. I dye my hair black regularly. Actually it's kind of a bluish black. Does temp hair coloring spray work on any type of dyed hair or do I need to remove the black dye first before applying it? By the way, my natural color is blonde, so if this question makes me sound stupid, there's your answer.

If you dye your hair black regularly that means your hair is probably decently damaged, which is ideal for spray-on color. Color sticks better to damaged hair because it is lacking it's essential protective oils. However, because your hair is black odds are the color won't show.

Think of it like coloring. Imagine coloring with crayons on black construction paper. The color is there just as much as it would be on white construction paper, you just cant see it as well.

Yup, just squirt it on. If ya want streaks, seperate the hair sections between sheets of paper. Just the ends of your hair looks cool too.

Sooo, I am a counselor this year at a camp and every year, every team has there own special thing, and our cabin is that we do our hair really funky colors and designs, but all the stuff I have found is really cheap and washes out before the day is over or really expensive and really not in the budget when there are 12 of you for an entire week, (last year it cost me almost 100$!). So can any one suggest a good hair color spray that won't make me go broke again? And please, funky colors are welcome. Thanks!

you could get pink or other funky colors at claires. Claires has the best girl and hair stuff.

Well first off, hair dye isn't sexist. All hair dye works on all hair, male or female. If you want something temporary try using temporary dye from Wal-Mart, that would be your best bet. If you dont like it make sure you buy a color that matches your real hair color the closest, be sure to wait at least 5 days before redying your hair. Also, Sally's Beauty Salon has TONS of colors for chosing. :)

I'm already wanting to buy temporary hair coloring sprays just for the heck of it b/c it seems like fun. But I know that it has to be temporary so does anybody know any products like snazaroo or something that sells them with black hair coloring or gold/yellow hair coloring sprays? And if so do they sell any at either walgreens or rite aid? Thank you :)
