I have naturally dark hair (almost black) and want to put in fuchsia Loreal hair colour hilights.
-How long will it last
-After that time will my hair go back to the normal color or will it be lighter

With hair that dark, you will have to lighten it to see any highlights. Once you lighten it, it will stay light or whatever color you dye on top of the lightened hair but the roots will be your natural color of course.
I'd suggest getting it done professionally if you can. Any time you are dealing with lightening and coloring the lightened hair, you are doing at least 2 chemical processes and it can come out badly if you aren't careful.

I've been dying my hair a dark brown for a year or more and i want a change, i tried to dye over the dark brown but it didn't work, that was about a month ago. I really want my hair quite a bright red, so i'd need to get the colour out, would Loreal hair colour remover work? I was thinking of getting the colour out then re-dying it, but i'm scared of damaging it :/ so would this damage it a lot? If yes is there anything better to use or something that would help it get healthy again?

You can do one of two things, to remove most of that dye.
1. By using Tide detergent with shampoo

Hair strippers are chemical treatments which are intended to strip out artificial color pigment with less risk or damage to the hair. The chemicals used are called reducing agents.
Certain 'metal' strippers containing sodium sulphoites are sold for reducing hair dyed with metallic dyes, as these dyes react violently with tint stripper containing hydrogen peroxide-the subsequent reaction may cause so much heat that the hair gets dissolved.
Google hair dyes & cancer also. There are those who tan & smoke all their lives & do not get cancer, but there are those 2nd hand & 3rd hand smoke who do and are currently on oxygen because they can't breath or have cancer. Same with hair dyes.

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's.
