What's a good trendy, up-to-date hair style?

I always end up coming out of the salon with an angled bob (sometimes bangs). A few years ago I did a pixie and liked it, but it was too much of a pain for me too grow out, and I don't really want to do it again. I want something hip! Any ideas? Pictures??

so for hc this year i don't know what color dress i should wear. last year i wore an emerald green dress but i don't know for this year. i have beige skin, black hair, big brown eyes. im 5'2 and im skinny but not slim like my body is athletic, i have toned arms and legs. i would like a short dress but i don't want to look sl*ty. thanks(:
