what length of hair is in for 2011?

OK, so, I have a hair appt friday

my hair is about 2 1/2 inches past my collar bone. in the summer i had a big tragic pink dye, bleach accident. and basically my stylist says my hair is too damaged to dye, unless I cut it to about my collar bone.

So, should I do that? I REALLY miss my bright blonde hair...but i really want like to my bra band hair.
(right now my hair dark blonde and a littttle orangey. )

I'm torn btw the color i want and the length I want. what do you think i should do?
